This was a wonderful performance in Italy and they recorded it the next year on CD together also. Neil is very emotional in the role and excellent . Gruberova is in fine clear voice with a top that is bell like clear.

Gruberova is adorable. And Schicoff makes Alfredo far more worldly and sensible than he seems with most tenors. (It's partly the glasses, I think!)
