I don't feel sorry at all for the trainers who die or is hurt by these magnificent animals.. I feel sorry for the animals cause nobody seems to get the message.. Its animal cruelty at its worse to keep them in captivity... How can people be so ignorant just because of their own amusement... I hope people who watch these shows would use their brains instead of being idiots... Watch the cove and get a knowledge on the subject instead of being so fucking selfish!!

I'd like to buy one or two of these big fish, if possible. I think they are amazing. I own a small ten acre lake in Kansas that is stocked with small mouth bass and catfish for them to eat. In addition I would feed them hog carcasses from my farm. If any aquariums have any of these killer whale fish for sale please let me know. Thanks.

It would be so awesome to be an orca trainer, to get to swim with such beautiful creatures. I just love swimming, and I've loved orcas since I first saw the movie "Free Willy." It would be great to combine the two.

I've never actually seen how the act is done but it is pretty obvious that the orca is trained to take the trainer under water and bring him to the surface as part of the act. is it that hard to believe an old orca possibly having memory or other mental issues due to its length in captivity simply made a mistake .? sea world knows more than it is saying...

The accident in Florida is quite tragic; I am certain the trainers "forget" whales are not "human," and love them as if they were human. My opinion is that whales belong in their natural habitat...that is common sense and it is time to free the whales, dolphins, etc. Train them to survive in their natural environment and release them before another fatal accident occurs. The children who witnessed the latest tragedy at Florida's Sea World will "unfortunately" always remember it.

Aquatic Theme Parks arnt just for amusement and alot of the money that is made during the shows goes to feed the whales. They eat about 500 pounds of fish a day. Also alot of kids who see the whales at the parks will be more aware of nature and pollution in the future.

Twenty years later cause of low funding Marine Wildlife agencies have out dated machines and are understaffed. Polution and a high rate of poachers have all but wiped out the five different species of Orca Whales and numerous other species of whales.

Bad enough they keep a wild animal in captivity. Then they stroke their own egos at showing willing spectators how they have "trained" them. If you are going to capture something in the wild and hold it against it's will, why not just leave it alone. Why does there have to be a "show"??

The accident in Florida is quite tragic; I am certain the trainers "forget" whales are not "human," and love them as if they were human. My opinion is that whales belong in their natural habitat...that is common sense and it is time to free the whales, dolphins, etc. Train them to survive in their natural environment and release them before another fatal accident occurs. The children who witnessed the latest tragedy at Florida's Sea World will "unfortunately" always remember it.

Aquatic Theme Parks arnt just for amusement and alot of the money that is made during the shows goes to feed the whales. They eat about 500 pounds of fish a day. Also alot of kids who see the whales at the parks will be more aware of nature and pollution in the future.

Okay so here is a scenario for all u people: In the future all the Aquatic parks are shut down and all the whales are released. Many of the whales born in captivity dont survive. Twenty years later cause of low funding Marine Wildlife agencies have out dated machines and are understaffed. Polution and a high rate of poachers have all but wiped out the five different species of Orca Whales and numerous other species of whales.

Yes, Sea World has much better conditions than many zoo's and certainly any traveling circus, but the concept remains the same, Animals in captivity for "fun" and profit. I'm sure it's only a matter of time (hours, maybe ?) until today's attack is uploaded. While it's a tragedy for the woman and her family, we can't blame the whale !
