@hydraz06 you get a house and hay because they do it privatly then the male love bird gos to the hay and taes it to the nest then the woman love bird will fix the nest up to the way she liks it . Because the woman lovebird will not have it unless they have a sutible nest and somewere private tou you know to have it.I dont know how long or how to telll if a bird is pregnate because myy love birds hasn't gave birth or done it

@zeldaofhearts Baby has no mate she will still lay her eggs every couple months. She lays 5 each time but they do not hatch with out the male to fertilize.

Thats true but i already have a 3 and a half year old peach faced love bird and i just got the other peached faced love bird yesturday and while attempting the process of laying the egg the male was sitting right next to her does that mean the egg will hatch?

Way before we had the male bird our female was laying up to 4-5 eggs with in a month. and we knew they wouln't hastch because the male hasen't fertilized it so i was wondering ... sould i throw it out or not ?

my lovebird just layed an egg and yesturday we got a peach faced love bird yesturday and hes about 3 months and she is about 3 and a half

she layed an egg and now she wont even sit on it ? and i had no nesting box so ummm i made a little box and layed a little blanket there and she layed the egg

but im not sure what to do should i take it away from her and put it somewhere and cover it with something warm >

@09877890dc It's very difficult to raise hatchlings, so I suggest you read up as much as you can. They will probably hatch after 24 days, 1 egg will hatch every other day almost. I just threw them away, because I'm not up to taking care of the hatchlings. I never have time lol.

hi there!! im jay 4rm singapore!! i need ya advice pls.. my peach faced love birds just layed 2 eggs pass 4 days ago!! the house they r stayin has no nest!! i have some sharded papers wif me now.. can i remove the eggs wif my hands n build a nest 4 them?? i tried givin some papers to the mom but the male bird is too playful n keep on snetchin it away 4rm her!! wat shell i do??

@hydraz06 If you plan to keep the babies you need a nesting box for her. I do not know much about this topic because I do not have a male Love Bird to fertilize the eggs . I take them away from her because she will not eat when she is nesting. Generally the male bird will take care of the female while she sits on the eggs . They do not really need anything for her to lay on. My bird lays her eggs on the bottom of the cage grate and she will sit on them until I take them away.
