My Marine son deploys soon. The date on the calendar robs me of the ability to breath sometimes. For the first time in his life I can't protect him. I'd gladly take his place. Now driving to Camp Pendleton in a few hours to say goodbye to him again, this time it will be expodentially that much more difficult. As I was listening to this song I felt chills run down my spine, tears running down my face, glad my son's okay, but some aren't I'm sorry for the ones who didn't make it but even for the one's who did like my son he'll never be the same again! He saw things I wish I could wipe away but I can't, so thats my pain today watching him and all the one's who did make it suffer too. Beaware of PTS!

My son does that as well, he also dreams to be in the Army to be like his daddy. its a beautiful song for your son...nothing compares to a mothers love for her child. i jus saw the military pic and thought i would be good to watch since my husband joined. its always hard for families who are in the military. the distance is hard but it makes everyone stronger in their relationship. god bless your son i hope he is better now. may god give you and your family protection as he watches from the heaven
Thank you for this beautiful song. My nephew was killed in Afghanistan in 2004. Both of my brothers served in the military. Two of my other nephews served also. My grandson graduates from Marine boot camp in Nov. God bless you, our military and their families.

And while I was watching it, just wiping some tears with my tshirt, and trying to watch the screen thinking about my son-in-law who comes home tonight to be with my daughter and my two grandsons, one who he will meet for the first time, my bff's son is in Afgahn right now and my nephew is deploying SOON.
