Why are the wars and tax cuts for the wealthy an invisible expense to the Republcians? They never mention that, only the crumbs given to the middle class.
When Republicans lecture Dems and Independents on the Deficit, it's pure comedy. It's like a spoiled child making a huge mess and then when an adult comes to clean it up, he says "you're doing it wrong" or "you missed a spot".
It's nice and refreshing to see a senator up on the Hill that is not afraid to tell a Republican the painful truth of the disasters they have caused. It's obvious also that Senator Sanders is not a Democrat. Kudos, Bernie, on both points!!!!

There's no doubt that Sanders is a patriot, but I disagree with his idea that just because the repubs ran up the budget, that it is okay for the dems to do the same with their social programs. Both parties need to get a handle on their spending. Government is out of control and leading this nation to ruin.

@Plastique47 Listen again. Sanders' is justifying his votes for increasing the deficit by blaming Gregg the Republican for increasing the deficit. Same old Republican vs. Democrat crap.

Your analogy doesn't work for me. Try a husband and wife that are trying to one up each other by buying things they can't afford, while they have bills to be paid. Both try to justify why they needed their new toy, but the rent is due and they have no money. With regard to Mr. Sanders' party affiliation - it is true that he's an independent, but he caucuses with the democrats and is a self-avowed democrat socialist. If it sounds like a duck???
I tried to put it in the most simplistic manner possible. The man bought a toy that was in neccessity because the womans toy was tearing the house up. But the woman wouldnt give her toy up, so now the man is pissed that the woman is mad at him. All you do is apologize?
