You need to play it with more feeling. The tone is okay, it needs a bit more touching if you ask me , but you should mainly concentrate on those slides instead of hammer on's or pulloff's.

@areeification Sorry, I didnt use tabs here. Can't be hard to find any tabs for this one on the internet, I guess. Try 911tabs for instance.

I'd really hate to write bad critics on anyones work, but this cover lack the very essential part of this GM music- the bendings. You placed like 4 into your cover whereas Gary bends almost every 3rd note- this is what gives the crying feeling to this song. Without it the music is just too sterile no matter your guitar or tone. I know that it is very frustrating that one single bad-bending can ruin the whole recording and you got to start over but still- without it its a different music.

@hunspikey Usually the bad critics are the most useful comments, so I dont mind getting them. But there were really 6 bends. :) No really, you got a point there and point taken. But in defense, this main purpose of this post was to make a GT-10 patch with GM's sound. Demonstrating the man's fabulous skill's is something else. :) Anyway, I feel challenged to make a better cover then this one, which was almost 2 years ago.. And btw, I will see GM perform upcoming saturday at Pink Pop Classic !

@rackstar100 It's a RG550 20th Anniversary. Replaced the original bridge pickup (V8) with a Dimarzio Evolution.

What sort of speakers are you using?

For monitoring purposes I use a Logitech Z2300 2.1 speakersystem on my GT-10 but since I recorded this with USB from GT-10 to my PC, the speakerset isnt involved in the sound. Thanks for listening!

Only 1987 pieces were made. About 1200 of those were reserved for the US I heared. Guess they are all sold out and I dont see much second hand sales either.

Maybe a used RG550 will do as well. RG 1550 or 770 also nice.

The RG770 reissues are going to be closest ondels. But any RG prestige is good. The 770 is limited edition though
