  • Christopher Lee WAS cast in the 3rd LOTR film, I direct you to the Extended edition of Return of the King.

  • I know something! The guy hired to paint drapes over naked figures was nicknamed "Il Pantalone!"

  • OhMyGod, Steven pouting at 2:47. I just want to give him a hug.

  • speaking of Brits in Hollywood..how could they have not mentioned Hugh Laurie and House?!

  • LMAO at David's face at 8 seconds!

  • Comment removed

  • I agree, that was a great Alan Rickman impression

  • John Session's does a fantastic Alan Rickman impression!!!!

  • Doesn't he mean Star Trek?

  • 75 000th viewer :)

  • Oh I LOVE that Emma says 'look there's Alan' when they show his picture! That is just so cute!

  • @bornasahollywoodstar well spotted. I didn't even hear that

  • That is an amazing Alan Rickman impression.

  • "I collect Greek Willies" - HAHAHAHA LOVE <3

  • awww i like how stephen fry looks sad when no one's convinced by the hoof sounds.

  • hahahahaha david mitchell sounds unbelievably gay at 3.23

  • @BethanyRose211 That's Emma's voice. It's just that the camera is on him.

  • @solarmaximumkade oh haahhaa!

  • It's annoying how Fry shames John Sessions, who is equally if not more talented and interesting. Maybe his mind just went blank after buzzing. No one else is allowed to be the centre of attention on the Stephen Fry Show.

  • @nakedmambo

    It's edited.

  • @ilikepints What difference does that make? Those two reactions were not grafted together in the editing room. If you mean for You Tube, it wasn't because I saw the original broadcast.

  • i figured it was doors on star trek when he did the paper thing i was almost right i can't believe it XD

  • they don't even bother to vary the subscribed laugh from one splash to the next

  • I collect Greek willys...

  • Monty Python comes to mind... That's not a horse, you just got two coconuts and your banging them together!

  • @MikeRomulus same lol. i love in holy grail where they "dismount" :P

  • Mr Stephen Fry ,vous êtes le le parangon de l'élégance ! ET de l'intelligence !

  • Mr Stephen Fry ,vous êtes le le parangon de l'élégance !

  • omg this is so hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm crying from laughing!!!

  • Are they implying that every chunk of cheese we eat has those little fellers running

around all over them? Either they dont do you any harm, or this piece of cheese had been left out in the open for a long while. I doubt we eat some of them every time we eat some cheese.

  • @Selinor578 Well your doubts are unfounded. Cheese is covered in those things all the time. They don't do any harm.

  • @WalterLiddy i'm never eating cheese again. :OOO

  • @buttersyrupnpancakes unless it's on pizza

  • I am never eating cheese again.

  • Alan Rickman <3

  • "don't you think it's sounds like a horse?..." my heart broke

  • But we knew the horse one was coconuts because of Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

  • After John had said "it's giving birth" all the women in the crowd went "urgh". Hahaha

  • David's expression at 0.08 is brilliant

  • @enterthedramaqueen13 and at 5:45 lol

  • They cut the bit out about 'The British Book of Teeth' from the Simpsons and John pretending to be a child asking Alan why he's a villain!!!!!!!! DISAPPOINTED FACE!!!! :(

  • Oh, right... Christopher Lee was in the prequels.

I can't imagine anyone since Holy Grail not being able to tell the difference between horses and coconuts... it's a pretty recognizable sound effect. At the very least, use two coconuts!

  • 9:00

  • CHEESEMITES? Why did i not know about this?!?

  • Had no one there seen The Holy Grail?

  • A naughty wizard!! LOL @ Stephen!

  • Anyone who's seen Monty Python knows the coconut-thing. I'll let the question of how Stephen got hold of that coconut lie, though.

  • @RemusChocolade he probably found them...... in Mercia

  • 0:08, I love his expression! LOL! Mind I love Emma more tbh!

  • I can't believe no one mentioned Monty Python when they did the coconuts. The Holy Grail had it as a running joke for the entire length of the movie.

  • @Satarack That's exactly what I was thinking!

  • @Satarack not only did they not mention the Holy grail but the one show they did they got wrong. Stephen mentioned the paper and envelope being the sound of the doors in Star wars when it was Star Trek

  • its not fair because they're aloud to c the questions and research them before the show

  • @werfox666 Apparently "Unlike many similar comedy-quiz programmes, the makers of the show insist that the answers are not given to the panellists beforehand. The panel are given a list of questions set to be asked about an hour before the show, for preparatory purposes, but the guests are forbidden to ask for preparatory materials or other help.", according to the QI website and Wikipedia (not that they're 100% reliable, but still...)

  • @murphyopalmen you can get a lot done in an hour though :P

  • If somehow doesn't make "Maria vs. Mary" into a film, I will be LIVID.

  • I collect greek willies!

  • great impersonation of Alan Rickman!!!

  • If every building in the world played Emma Thpmpsons laugh over the speakers we wouldn't have wars.

  • You've got two empty halves of cocunuts and ya bangin em together

  • lol the 'i collect greek willies' bit XD i've been to the vatican museum and the tour guide there says she knows a woman who works there and her actual job is to sift through a bunch of marble penises and match them up to all the statues!!! Isn't that fantastic? XD

  • I remember seeing this before and John Sessions also quoting Rickman 'I do not play villians, I play interesting people'. I missed that last bit, or was that bonus material?

  • that alan rickman impression is really good!! i cant stop rewinding it!!

  • Anyone know what episode this is from?

  • I met Alan Rickman's cousin whilst on holiday in Sardinia. True story.

  • Is the LOTR really a hollywood prod? I thought it was New Zeelandish

  • @Mullahgrrl american money though

  • @TheCorporalClegg That is what she said!

  • Oh god, that Greek statue with Alan's commentary that the man was about to bash his privates nearly had me spraying hot chocolate on my laptop xD

  • Emma Thompson is beyond marvellous. Love watching her - she makes the best faces :) And of course her genius wit is always entertaining.

  • right, his impression is good fair play, but am i the only one who wants to punch his cocky little face? like, right in the face?

  • Aaaaw! No Monty Python reference! Poor form Stephen, poor form. I totally expected a good Monty Python reference with the coconuts.

  • @SamDLite I was thinking the exact. same. thing.

  • ahhh look at his little face light up at 3:24. please marry me david.

  • 'btw when I open them you won't all have gone will you?' he is the cutest.

  • "how's it made?'"

    "with a guillotine and a person...and a bucket."

    LMAO!!!!

  • Given the usual Python density on QI, I was a bit disappointed none of them went "She's using coconuts! She's got two empty 'alves of coconut and she's banging 'em together!"

  • "Don't you think it sounds like a horse?"

I melted. I melted into a puddle of gooey "aww stephen!!!"

  • I do, Stephen! I think it sounds just like a horse, now come here and let me give you a cuddle.

  • @ecureuil85 Aww Stephen! This was my response too - love his sad puppy face :)

  • Did Emma, Hugh and Stephen all go to university together?

  • They did - all Cambridge students.

  • If you fork out the dough for the Fry & Laurie box set, there is a 30 minute Cambridge Footlights review show included.

  • only emma and stephen..:)

  • @ZhoZhaal Hugh and Emma were at Cambridge together, they actually dated for a while. Hugh was Pres of the Cambridge Footlights and Emma VP. When the Footlights did their annual tour Emma introduced Hugh to Stephen as a budding playwright. In 1981 Stephen and Hugh wrote a sketch called "The Cellar Tapes" that ended up winning awards. All three then toured England and Australia with the sketch. After that they were good friends and did BoFL and Jeeves and Wooster together.

  • It's the old Monty Python coconut trick. :D

    Brilliant.

  • "What did he see in the Baroness in the first place, she was vile."

  • amazing alan rickman impression!!!

  • @donniebirthday They also look similar don't they?

  • "He was a very bad wizard, wasn't he? He was an awfully naughty wizard."

  • I keep replaying John's impersonations of Alan Rickman - amazing!

  • aww the person in the audience that claps at Christopher Plummer being canadian! bless you
