We heard about this even out here in Portland, OR when this happened. I moved here from C.R. in '02 but still try to keep track of what happens back home. Having been thru I.C. so many times over the years it's hard to believe this much damage happened there.
This was so scary to experience. I lived on College and Lucas at the time, right across the street from the sorority house that got demolished. I was SO lucky to have a home after that night.
I would hide in an interior classroom, but away from the door, so I'll be whole lot less likely to be hit by flying debris as it flies into the halls.
Damn, my school would be screwed if it got hit by an F3/4/5.
And we gotta hide in the hallways.
Which isn't all good, because despite the fact they might be safer in terms of structural integrity{ at least as far as I know}, the tornado could still suck you right out.
i live in CR and i remember my sisters getting phone calls from the BF's when this was happening, they were working at Carousell on Hyw 1
