@ITRIEDEL the guy was trying to countersteer and get the car in control right on the apex, if you look at the corner apex all the way to the pit lane, there's enough space for a tuned vehicle to balance the car, get it under control and continue the race.... Pit lanes are never close to the apexes, you can get anywhere from 600-1,000 FT from the last turn to the pit lane. I know this because i have raced in tracks before, my rotary would've cleared that section easy.
