  • This is the OLD World Traveler Plus. Please do a little research before uploading.

  • Boeing 777 is the best snm

  • How can I ask for this class? I bought the ticket already. Thank you!

  • @Ciuska80 You can either upgrade through the "Manage My Booking" section of ba.com, or you can ring up the airline and ask for a quote directly. Some times, more often than not, they have special one-way upgrade prices... keep your eyes peeled for those!

  • worth the money?

  • @mozartfan1756 Completely. I think with only having a maximium of six rows in the WTP cabin, this means that you have more privacy, and if I am honest, more attentive service (as if you don't already get that by flying on BA). I travel a lot in Club and WTP, not so much in WT or Euro Traveller, but I believe that it is worth the increased fare. The only issue I have, is that you would expect a separate toilet, rather than having to share with the WT cabin.

  • Not too long ago seats like this were standard economy.

  • Thank you for posting this video, very informative and helpful. It helped me in deciding what class I wanted for an international flight. Thank you again

  • @alivewithpassion You are more than welcome. It was glad that I could provide you with the information you required.

  • Adaptor from the crew... No we do not supply adaptors for in flight, it is upto passengers to supply these....

They are also NOT DVT SOCKS......

  • @Britboi39 Apologies @Britboi39. This is what was communicated to me by the crew onboard the flight. Please accept my apologies for the misleading information, as I was no aware of this. Thank you for the correction - duly noted.

  • I went on WTP in 2007, really comfy apart from the fat Americans who click there fingers for drinks and duty free brouchers lol

  • @e4ans One has to admit that it is slightly annoying and a bit egotistical to see people doing that sort of thing. Of course, passengers in WTP are paying for a higher level of service, but clicking your fingers like you are in the Burj Al Arab, isn't customary; especially in British culture.

  • NEW World Traveller Plus? That seat/product is 11 years old already!

  • @charlieboy77 Thanks for your comment - please read the other comments made by other users. I had already apologised for this error. Thank you anyway for your interest in my video.

  • Because I had booked through a travel operator then I would have to talk with them, so I guess I'll have to try and chat to the ground operations manager at the gate to try and upgrade because you never have much luck with checking in staff!

  • @merlimax Ah - as you booked through a travel agent, you won't be able to access the BA upgrade sales fares on the "Manage My Booking" section. But, on the plus side, you still have two options (as you are clearly on a ticket that allows upgrades and changes). (1) To contact Thomson and pay the difference for a one-way or return upgrade in Club World, or (2) to persist with the BA Call Centre and they should be able to offer you a best quote - I can't see why they couldn't quote you the upgrade!

  • @Dom

Ok, thanks. So what do I need to look out for on my details? You seem to be in the know with B.A. ! . I first booked my flight with Thompson world wide as cattle class then upgraded to WTP at an extra cost of £500. I called B.A. Direct to find out how much extra it would cost to upgrade to BC but they said that because I had booked through a travel operator

  • @Dom

Well I know there are only 2 outbound BC seats left on this flight (bugger) so I don't think I will be able to upgrade. But as I said T4 lounge is awful but gatwick is quite nice, but the best one Iv been to is Mali airport in the Maldives and the worst I think is the really nasty one in Sri Lanka ! I stayed in there 5 mins before I left and sat in a coffee shop instead

  • @merlimax From what I understand, BA are stating that there are "only two seats left at that price" before the prices moves to a higher price bracket. You never know. Keep a look at your flight details on BA's "Manage My Booking" - you might be pleasantly surprised.

  • Saying that the one in T4 is awful..

  • @Dom

Yea Iv just checked my flight itinerary for this flight as I pre booked our seats ( 13A 13B ) and your totally correct in what you said. We are flying on a B772 sob sob sob.. But the seat layout is ok because it's just forward of the wings so less noisy I guess. I'm ok flying out because of the excitement of the holiday but flying back is a long... long... Journey . Plus I'm a little miffed as to why I can't pay the extra so I can sit in the VIP lounge in T5 LHR ! ( but saying that , the o

  • @merlimax I know - considering the BA Galleries Lounges at T5 won Skytrax awards last weekend at the Paris International Air Show, for the World's Best Business Class Airline Lounge for customer product and service quality... sorry - I'm not trying to rub it in! You never know, BA sometimes do these promotional upgrades (both one-way and return), so you might have the option to upgrade the outbound sector to Club World, then you can visit the BA Galleries Lounges... Just a thought!

  • I'm traveling wtp in September to Mauritius and Iv seen on B.A. Website that they have upgraded the cabin. All I know is I'm flying on a B777 and I hope it's one of the newer planes... I just could not afford business class but I'm sure the cabin will be just fine.. Great video by the way

  • @merlimax Thanks! I'm glad you like it. Unfortunately, I don't think you are likely to be using a B773 (the new B777) on that route, even in September (but, of course, last minute aircraft changes do happen!). However, it appears that most, if not all, B772 have been upgraded and look like what they do in the video. Either way, I am sure you will have a lovely time and feel very comfortable in the upgraded WTP cabin. Have a lovely time in MRU; I can't say I'm not jealous!

  • Thats the Old WT + ???

  • @SpeedbirdAircrew Yes, you are right. I had pointed this out earlier to @friend1217. Thank you for your observation. I think the main reason why I got confused is because I travel in Club more frequently than I do in WTP. The last time I travelled in WTP was back in January 2010. Back then, the cushions were different, the headrests were a different colour/design, and the amenity kit hadn't been upgraded. I should have stated: "upgraded", rather than "new". I apologise for any confusion.

  • Wow - 8th June 2011. This IS new!

I don't know whether to choose this or just plain World Traveller..

I didn't realise you could change seat. I thought you had to stay in your alloted seat, even if others were empty.

Is this over the wings or further forward?

  • @250Trojan As I mentioned to @RHCPfreakXD, I was in seat 22H, which is over the wing, but only just. It isn't as bad as it looks when you look at the BA.com seat maps for this cabin! I still had a very decent view out of the window. If I'm honest, I would pay the extra. As I said in the video, it is supremely comfortable, the service is better and more attentive than in WT (probably due to less passengers and a quieter cabin). And, if the seats are free, you can move. Where are you flying to?

  • @Dom9610 Thnaks.

I actually want to be over the wings, or at least quite far back (I don't like being near the front of the aircraft).

I'm flying to New York in September.

  • @250Trojan Brilliant - that sounds great! Well, this is the perfect cabin for you then. I hope you have a lovely time in NY. Enjoy your flight with BA!

  • @Dom9610 Thank you!!!

  • Hay... I've a question...

Has the last raw enough space to lean back ?

  • @RHCPfreakXD Yes - and from what I could see, the seats recline to the same angle as do every other seat. I was in 22H; and due to the quiteness of the flight, this gave you the choice of moving to a different seat if you wanted. Even with the passenger in the bulkhead row reclining their seat, there was still plenty of room to carry about your business, as the tray table comes out from the seat armrest, rather than fold down from the seat in front. This is the same with every seat in the cabin.

  • @RHCPfreakXD However, the only concern is of the proximity to the lavatories. This could be a bit bothersome: hearing the constant strong 'sucking' sound of the flush. This sound was hardly noticed near the front of the cabin.

  • @Dom9610 All right ...Thank u .

  • that is the old WTP cabin, not the new one!

  • @friend1217 I stand corrected. Thank you.
