well I have a 1995 mustang Saleen S351 far from stock and a 3000gt VR-4 haven't come across a car that can touch the Saleen and only lost 1 race in my VR-4 snapped and axle shaft right at the launch :( but nice car. I love seeing mustang GTs, Comarros, and Trans ams getting whooped.

Babying my car off the line, because of the IRS, i run low 12s. If i wanted to uses slicks and not worry about breaking the IRS it would run high to mid 11s. when you put high performance cams in your car, full exhaust, gears and much more others just to hang with GM, then re post.
My new mustang weighs 1000 less to the wheels and puts 420rwhp/450tq, I could give you the bump & launch in 2nd and still wave bye out the window as I spanked that ass.

Ive raced 2 cobras, one stock with exhaust and i beat it pretty bad, and i raced another with, bbk exhaust? not sure which it was, and it had 4.10s and a pulley and were neck an neck from 45 to 145. Neither car pulled on the other. I love the cobras but soon it will be called the cobra killer! haha

The only possible comparison to this vehicle would have to be another GTO. My friend has one of these bests and when I read Mustang Killer I remember us smoking one on I77 not to long ago. At speeds of 120+ the fords worrying about his engine red lining or radiator failing while the GTO only worries about all the bugs on his bumper and nothing else more. ;)

I drove one and it was pretty quick. Didnt pull like mine but it was stock. The only races ive lost so far were to my buddies GTO that had alot more work done to it at that time, and a corvette.

@Storm7289 yeah, but the bad part is thats all they can do with out rebuilding the motor. I was reading a column the other day and the 5.0 is still a 302 and it has been bored and stroked to 5.0 and to produce 400 400.Because of this you cant do any other engine mods because the motor cant handle it. Look it up.The trannys are also having issues because they are bought from china and ford doesnt really know what is breaking. They fix it and if it breaks again they try somthing else
@myGTO1985 not true at all. people think the new 5.0 is a bored and stroked 4.6 with new heads its actually a whole new motor though. they can go as far as 440whp with tune intake full header back exhaust and boss manifold. the motor can handle 9 psi completely safley as well. the trannys have only had 37 reported problems and was because for a week they used the wrong blend of tranny fluid that couldn't control the heat from people who were driving their cars very hard.

@nickcranfield2008 Ok, I've raced 2 3v mustangs. A red boss, which couldn't hang at all, and an 05 with headers, cai, tune, exhaust, and gears and I smoked it. Also raced a tuned Mach 1 that I pulled hard on. All the races I do are from 30 and 50 rolls. From a dig the races would have been different. My car is all high end and heavy as hell.

Especially when the front is lowered and it has huge meats in the back!

my car is nothing special however my friend does beat gto's ws6's and z28's all the time at the track, he has a full bolt on 96 cobra his best so far on street tires is a 12.9 @ 111mph with the stock 3.27 final drive ratio and 5speed, only upgrade for the trans is a king cobra clutch. he has vids on here just type in cammed 96 cobra his user name is cmk44. i told you i'm not hating on your car i like the gto's but its sad that you get walked by a bolt on 5.0 fox!

you ran a 12.79 he ran a 12.90 @ 111 with the stock 5speed trans and 3.27 gears on street tires. he just installed 4.56's and we are awaiting install on some 10.5 slicks. what gear are you running in your gto? i'm assuming its full weight and since you only have intake and exhaust you probably only have around 375-380rwhp
stock gears 3.46 w/ independent rear so i have to launch easy to avoid wheel hop, street 8" tires, plus my car weighs 3700lbs. it put down 344/355 on a cool day. mind u i still dont have cam,intake, or heads. his 1st gear is taller than mine also 3.37 to my 2.97. His car sounds sick, i want that bodystyle so i can put my LS1 in it. Going to get an LS3 and supercharger for the Goat with in the next 6 mos. should be fun. his car should be quick as hell with the 4.56s, thats crazy

Im just F*n with you dude. Im not a big fan of the tips but they are the only ones that looked good with that bumber, the holes are oval, not round like the 05 and 06s. But in the same right, these tips are Borla Replicas, they carry the same looking tips. I had my exhuast dumped under the cab, but the resonation was so loud and i lost back pressure wich in turn i lost torque. I gained 20 rwtq by going back to the full exhuast

@turbo98gt. haha, ive beat trans ams and camaros and recently a 2004 cobra. Cant quite call it a cobra killer yet but its well on its way! lol. Havent raced a new 5.0 yet. I drove one and it was pretty quick. Didnt pull like mine but it was stock. The only races ive lost so far were to my buddies GTO that had alot more work done to it at that time, and a corvette.

@Storm7289 yeah, but the bad part is thats all they can do with out rebuilding the motor. I was reading a column the other day and the 5.0 is still a 302 and it has been bored and stroked to 5.0 and to produce 400 400.Because of this you cant do any other engine mods because the motor cant handle it. Look it up.The trannys are also having issues because they are bought from china and ford doesnt really know what is breaking. They fix it and if it breaks again they try somthing else

@myGTO1985 not true at all. people think the new 5.0 is a bored and stroked 4.6 with new heads its actually a whole new motor though. they can go as far as 440whp with tune intake full header back exhaust and boss manifold. the motor can handle 9 psi completely safley as well. the trannys have only had 37 reported problems and was because for a week they used the wrong blend of tranny fluid that couldn't control the heat from people who were driving their cars very hard.

Look at the car now. You really have to do alot to make them look good in my opinion. They are also very heavy. @wonderbreadkw we get way more compliments in the GTO than we ever did with our trans am. Every where we go people always break their necks looking at it. We also have won 1st place at 7 of the 8 car shows we have taken it to. If he doesnt like them, good luck talking him into one. The way to win him over on it is to take him to test drive one. Thats how I got my wife to want one. She didnt like the looks until she drove one.

@nickcranfield2008 Ok, I've raced 2 3v mustangs. A red boss, which couldn't hang at all, and an 05 with headers, cai, tune, exhaust, and gears and I smoked it. Also raced a tuned Mach 1 that I pulled hard on. All the races I do are from 30 and 50 rolls. From a dig the races would have been different. My car is all high end and heavy as hell.

@kevsickgto, yea, it had the full eibach lowering kit but i raised the rear back to stock to give it a muscle car rake. It looks way better now with the ZO6 wheels on it

The hood is nothing like an 06 hood. It resembles the old judge hoods. 03 cobras are alright, its just that ford has to use power adders to keep up with chevy. My car may not take yours, then again it might, but lets see a cobra vs a supercharged LS motor. One day ford fans will wake up. I did. ha ha

Also, Ford is bringing out a 400 hp, 400 tq 5.0 out in 2011. I am pretty sure that Chevy brought out a 400hp 400tq motor umm lets see......oh yea 5 years ago! But chevy is behind? Very true, there is a supercharged gto in there somewhere racing a cobra and beating it. Any way, ford and chevy guys and ramble on all day! Maybe all Year! LOL. I have a good friend that says it best. "There is no replacement for Displacement." That pretty much sums it up. 4.6 supercharged, awesome motor! It shoud beat a 5.7 with some bolt ons. 5.7 supercharged......another story.

Some say its blasphomus, i say its the best of both worlds. I have done alot to the appearence of my car, it looks different from this video now, but i still love the 03-04 cobra looks. Especially when the front is lowered and it has huge meats in the back!

I have a buddy that had a 98 Cobra. He had his motor rebuilt. Forged, and lowered compression for boost but he sold it not to long ago.

he ran 9.1s and 8.9s in the 1/8th mile. Like I said, his compression was like 9:1 so the power wasnt really there.

my car is nothing special however my friend does beat gto's ws6's and z28's all the time at the track, he has a full bolt on 96 cobra his best so far on street tires is a 12.9 @ 111mph with the stock 3.27 final drive ratio and 5speed, only upgrade for the trans is a king cobra clutch. he has vids on here just type in cammed 96 cobra his user name is cmk44. i told you i'm not hating on your car i like the gto's but its sad that you get walked by a bolt on 5.0 fox!

you ran a 12.79 he ran a 12.90 @ 111 with the stock 5speed trans and 3.27 gears on street tires. he just installed 4.56's and we are awaiting install on some 10.5 slicks. what gear are you running in your gto? i'm assuming its full weight and since you only have intake and exhaust you probably only have around 375-380rwhp

stock gears 3.46 w/ independent rear so i have to launch easy to avoid wheel hop, street 8" tires, plus my car weighs 3700lbs. it put down 344/355 on a cool day. mind u i still dont have cam,intake, or heads. his 1st gear is taller than mine also 3.37 to my 2.97. His car sounds sick, i want that bodystyle so i can put my LS1 in it. Going to get an LS3 and supercharger for the Goat with in the next 6 mos. should be fun. his car should be quick as hell with the 4.56s, thats crazy

Im just F*n with you dude. Im not a big fan of the tips but they are the only ones that looked good with that bumber, the holes are oval, not round like the 05 and 06s. But in the same right, these tips are Borla Replicas, they carry the same looking tips. I had my exhuast dumped under the cab, but the resonation was so loud and i lost back pressure wich in turn i lost torque. I gained 20 rwtq by going back to the full exhuast
