In S. TX.. The weather is humid and muggy. Haven't had a winter. Illegals still crossing and the weather is too strange. A few months ago we had a storm and the lightning never stopped. Just flashing every few seconds. I am deathly scared of tornadoes. I have s empty swimming pool in back yard around 10 ft deep. Would that be a safe place for tornadoes? My house is not sercure with no basement :(

I have had that anxious feel that were going to experience a large earthquake, I live near to Elsinore Fault Line and that extends into the Baja.

I live in Dallas, Oregon, and I am seeing some lightning, hearing thunder, and there is some massive rain. Roads are already starting to flood. Thanks for the update, Dutch.

WA does get tornadoes, I'm a native on the Olympic Peninsula. I didn't think so either. Go to some local stations and search. They've showed them on TV. NOTHING like Joplin or anywhere like that. You won't really see much but strong wind. They don't really take shape and if they do...we always called them 'dust devils' in the summer. And you only see them for a second. So it IS weird to hear someone talk about tornadoes here.

That long cloud track into the Pacific is called a Pineapple Express by those of us living in the NW. Lots of rain, wind and usually flooding after the strong snow fall that happened in the western Washington and Oregon last week. Have seen that weather pattern many times before, just more violent now, as one would expect with the weather having more energy to freely use...

North of Seattle, very windy with strong gusts since early 2 am this morning, it woke me up and it has been that way all day!  Still going strong 5:30 pm.... Thanks for the heads up.,...LOVE!

LOL there is no tornadoes up in Oregon. That radar is always wrong.

@aat82891 Well even radars aren't perfect, but they aren't always wrong. Sometimes when it indicates that there could be a possible tornado, it doesn't always mean there will be it's just possible that it may occur or not.

I'm in Silverton Oregon...A little town 15 minutes east of our capitol Salem. We have massive winds and rain going on right now with some strange lightning...its turning the whole sky purple as it flashes...we NEVER had tornados until last year at about this time...One ripped thru the town of Aumsville and did some major damage.... Right now the fir trees are whipping in a circular motion...scary because we flooded last week...the soil is saturated. Blessings..Vickie
