In some other live video of "Floating down the River" Roland mentions Emile Zola as a reference for Emile's Jacuzzi.... D'ont see the relation but he says that this song is one of the very few that has no particular meaning for Tear for Fears. They wrote it just without thinking... I love it! It really "swings"
I♥it! Like everyone else, I hadn't heard this song until they played it during their concert show in Miami tonight! Actually Ft. Lauderdale. Great song, amazing mutha phuk'n show. Tears for Fears Foreverrrr!! xoxo
Here in Orlando - Aug 28th--Roland said "We would like to do Floating down the River". and everyone in the audience looked blank. Then they started playing, and WoW ! CooL SonG !
@csrogc63 I was there!! He was like, "I'd like to dedicate this to anyone who has lived near or around a river. This is "Floating Down The River" and I was like!! So upset with myself because at 19 I'm a diehard fan but have never heard of this....it was so catchy! The lights were really bright during the drum rolls though.
@masterroshi64 Yeah, pretty much! I was there with my friend, I'm 19 and she's 18. We were right by the entrance to the VIP section, so lots of drunk old men kept trying to offer us VIP passes. It died down after a while, though.
Saw them last night in Auckland. They were fantastic, and this song sounded good among all the old stuff, probably better live than it is here. But they'll never lose it.
Ok, a neat find for me to find this song here... yay. Love Love... this song!! Oh, my gosh.. I remeber them performing this during the concert this past summer. They were so into to it, so great to see that. TFF, Grrrrrrrreat band forever.
Thanks for posting this song. My dad and I saw them at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga this summer. I never heard this song until I saw them play the live version. This song is SOOOOOOOO cool.
TFF are the new Beatles. John Lennon would've liked this...

I don't like when Rolland plays like Beattles, I like when he is himself. They don't need Beattles

Start sounds a LOT like "Green Shirt" by another Liverpool legend Elvis Costello.
