I WOULDN'T TRUST LAWYERS OR ANYTHNG CONNECTED ....IT SOUNDS LIKE TO ME THAT THEY WANT PEOPLE TO PAY HOMAGE TO THE POWERS THATBE , TO BE CONSIDERED FOR DISABLITY? I WOULD ALSO BE CAREFUL ABOUT , WHAT QUESTIONS ARE ASKED, AND HOW YOU ANSWER THEM. IT IS MY GUESS , IN MY EXPERI DEALING WITH THEM, BE AWARE OF WHAT I CONSIDER TO BE " TRICK QUESTIONS" DESIGNED TO TRIP YOU UP, OR MAKE YOU SEEM LIKE YOU COULD BE LIEING. I'M SURE THEY CAN THINK OF 100 REASONS WHY YOUR CLAIM SHOULD BE DENIED!

It Says If you are unable to hold an 8 hour work day 5 days a week then you are disabled yet they say 1 hour a day is enough, they dont even fallow thier own rules.

Ohio SSI Is bullshit I have been deined two times and have know been told it could take up to to years for a hearing. What crap people that need it cant get it and people that doent are getting it. I have PTSD and Axniety disorder. SSI you suck

They also have something called " substantial gainful activity" which is where someone works full or part-time and make at least $980 a month. If someone is making $980 a month, why the fuck are they applying for disability????? I have mental disorders, i havent worked in over 2 and 1/2 years and i was denied, and what i mean by that is had a hearing in front of a judge. People making $980 a month and applying for disability!! thats fuckin bullshit right there!!!

Also, here in illinois the laws are soo contradictive. The whole point of disabilty is when someone is not able to work, BUT here in illinois, while people are in the process of of waiting for their hearing, thier allowed to work part-time?? again isnt the whole point is " not being able to work".

PamelaRP- AGREED. I live in illinois, and im sure its the same in every state like you said BUT it is a TOTAL FRAUD. They denie people who ABSOLUTELY TRULY/GENUINELY NEED/DESERVE BENEFITS, then a " SCAM-ARTIST/CON-ARTIST" comes along and simply fools the SSA, and they get approved for benefits.

The entire SS is messed up and is a total fraud and people are getting it now that do not need it. I know someone who now is getting it and we used to work together in an office. Now she says she cant work yet she has no physical problems at all and I cannot walk and cannot at all get it. She knows she is frauding the system and drives a new car and does all these things. The entire system is messed up and people that NEED IT CANNOT GET IT at all. This video is BS.

What if the person applying for ssdi has agoraphobia/panic attacks and can't even make it to the hearing ?

@Bladerunner55217 - the judge's job is more difficult if you cannot appear in person, and, obviously you want to make the judge's life as easy as you can. If you have documentation from a treating psychologist or psychologist, you may be able to arrange to appear by phone, or perhaps by video. If the medical evidence is convincing your lawyer could also present your case without you there.

@Bladerunner55217 A "designated representative" can go to the hearing, in such extreme cases. Such cases should be medically documented by the treating physician (preferably a licensed psychiatrist); and/or a treating licensed clinical PhD-level clinical psychologist--and approved BEFORE the hearing. The "designated representative" must be approved before the hearing, too. This procedure would be complicated, and would best be discussed with an experienced SSA disability attorney.

Thank you for the post! I have been denied twice and as yet do not have a hearing scheduled but the question of what to wear had occurred to me as wearing anything tight or binding is extremely uncomfortable.
