  • There is no doubt in my mind that Tim Russert saw this election as the most important in his career. I think he understood something the rest of the press does not...Obama is not historic just for being of African decent...Obama is historic because we have become so depressed, as a country, with the past 7.5 years and that Obama is a man who can help restore our belief in America and restore our vision for the future. A real patriot could feel nothing else. OBAMA in 08!

  • Some people might disagree with me, but I strongly believe Tim wanted to see an Obama Presidency

    Obama '08

  • I gotta go with Obama on this one...

  • RIP Tim :(

  • "it's a pander?"....what does that mean? I'm ignorant here. RIP Tim, go Obama!

  • It means to "gratify or indulge"

  • yes he is a very good speaker and obviously has more brain in his head than hillary, mccain or dumb-ass bush could ever dream of. I worry though that americans may prefer someone as stupid as they are...which is why they voted for bush twice.

    dboy

  • One of the funniest things I've heard from anti-obama people is that he lacks substance.

They need to see more videos like this which totally smash that theory.

  • lol there are already cars on water XD it everything already exist!!!! But the world hid these things because, if cars don`t use gas anymore the government`s biggest moneymaker is gone!!!! that`s the point is this!

  • obama you rule you are the best

  • Artificial stimulation will create inflation. Let the market deal with it, the only way to prevent the whole mess is to high up the tax on the oil companies.

I don't see how people like McCain, Obama or Clinton can solve a problem out of their jurisdictions.

    Thank you

  • Every plan Hillary and her buddy Mccain has proposed has been either stupid at worse of fundamentally unsound at best!

Hillary and McCain are too opportunistic, power-hungry, shoot from the hip politicians!

Neither of them care about the American people!

  • When obama speaks he appears to have deep conviction. He is very intelligent and is offering common sense solutions. Hillary just wants to raise the issue because it is a good campaign issue. He is right that we would not save a significant amount of money with this gimmick gas holiday talk. Barrack has my vote in NOvember (sorry Clinton supporters) Obama is going to be leading our country come January 2009.

  • For VP, I'd another female like Nancy Pellozi (sp?) Speaker of the house 2) John Edwards or

    3) Possibly Bill Richardson

  • Really? Can you show me? I highly doubt your claim.

  • I can show you. Her plan is that she has a plan. That's her plan. Some plan, huh?

  • Any thoughts on a VP for Obama if/when he wins?

  • HE KIND OF REMINDS ME OF THE ROCK!!!

  • Learning from a mistake, what a novel idea.

  • What is he proprosing to fix the gas crisis? All I heard is him talking about doing something that Bush has already done! Bush already giving you ESP refund that Obama DID NOT PUT FORWARD. Bush already put fuel efficiency standards which are causing the outsourcing of jobs. He's talking about reducing oil consumption which means more TAX. We need to drill Alaska and that's the only REAL solution that nobody wants to do because of environmentalists and their nonsense.

  • Well, he's not the President yet, so I guess we'll have to wait a little bit longer for a solution to the gas crisis, but I'm sure that he's working on it. :)

I honestly don't know what else he can do about it at this juncture, except talk. I wish we could speed this election up.

  • actually if you want to reduce oil dependancy one way to do it is to putting a tax on oil is a good long term solution. as much as people dont like to hear it. Oil will disappear off this planet and we need other energy resources. Drilling in anwar is another temporary solution. Although certainly less temporary then a tax cut it also has its fall backs which im sure an environmentalist would be happy to point out.

  • good video

  • All this Rev. Wright nonsense that people have been harping on drives me crazy! I need to know why I am paying close to five dollars for gas?! I mean I am yet to hear a solid argument against why this man should not be the next president.

OBAMA I agree with your gas plan. Don't forget us when you become president. Best of luck~~~

  • Professor Obama speaks...

    Obama 08!

  • Obama is the HOPE. Vote Obama get involved so we can take this country in the right dirction.

  • MORON

  • They've gotten rid of all the other candidates who were willing to level with us... Obama looks like our last best hope for a decent president now...

  • EScellent and Clearly shows the difference between Barack and Hillarious

    John From Cape Cod, Ma.

  • OBAMA 2008

  • what?!? a man running for president is speaking sense?!? something smells fishy.

  • This is why I love him! Faces up to his mistakes and doesn't sell his soul for votes.

  • OHHHBOMMMMMAAHHHHHHHHH '08!!!

  • America, listen to this man. Vote for this man. He may be your one and only chance to reclaim the name of the world's first superpower you once held so proudly.

And because if you continue on your downward spiral, we all go down there with you. Sad, but true.

  • This is a good point Gax Tax Wavier sounds nice but come on! Greed will see that the price will be unchanged and Bush will not do anything as he is in the oil company's pocket!

  • Hello America, the world is watching.

I'm from the UK (England) and Americans must realize how important this election is. Barack Obama is not just the future for Americans, but he is the future for the Western World.

Why do you think that news organization such as FOX continues to campaign the Wright issue? Because they are aware how different and non-pandering Obama will be.

We need Indiana and North Carolina to grasp their future and not be afraid. Don't go back to the same politics.

  • Yet another thoughtful and informed outlook on policy. My thoughts and hopes are with Indiana and NC voters to see the truth through all the smoke and mirrors being put up by the Clinton campaign: Barack IS the better candidate and has a holistic view of our country's future!

    Obama '08!

  • wake up indiana, north carolina and all of the rest, i will welcome any tipe of relieve on this gas prices, the facts that mr. obama and all of the rest that are against this proposal of stopping the gas tax are not telling you are this, all of the toll roads in america are too, paying for road repairs, maintenance and so on. so this notion that people are going to loose thier job because of this brake for the american people is simply not true. talk about scared tactics, think before you vote.

  • Imagine this scenario. You go to the gas station, fill up and you pay about 3.65 a gallon. You get home and turn on CNN and find out that George Bush and congress have passed 3 month $.18 gas tax holiday effective immediately. You go to fill up at the tank the next day and gas is $3.85.

  • How did this guy get this far? A junior Senator midway through his first term may be the President? This is all about race. Mainly white liberals being hoodwinked by this Marxist.

  • Obama needs a campaign ad showing a guy standing next to a cement mixer pouring a new road where the worker looks in the camera and explains that Hillary's proposal will mean him and 750,000 other people who build roads will lose their jobs.

  • Yeah E-mail that to the campaign

  • North Carolina please don't fall for their lies. Obama is the only candidate who will not pander. We need real solutions.

    Obama 08

  • Imagine. A truth-telling President. "let's get serious about reducing consumption of oil, which is the only way in the long run we're going to reduce gas prices." "now is the time for us to act."

    Vote Obama

  • been following the primary since the beginning. i was for kucinich or edwards, and knew nothing about obama except he was senator for 2 years. i didnt think he was experienced enough to go against any of the other candidates

honestly, the more i listen to obama the more i love him. he is very intelligent, articulate and thoughtful. and being able to admit you can learn from mistakes is more important then people give weight to

i think he is as worthy of my vote as my first 2 choices were

  • first of all the cheney bill was to find resources to put more money into building streets, second of all at least he admits it

  • The real question is-can he communicate this kind of stuff to the "average American"? Remember that most people aren't that interested in politics, and don't watch these Sunday talking heads shows. Meaningless sound bites put the Shrub in the oval office-twice. I think people are ready for the truth, but it has to be presented accessably. It's going to be tough. Thank goodness for the internet. It's the only reliable fact checker available these days. Here's hoping

  • Honesty, and the ability to learn from mistakes.

  • We've had 3 cowboy country boys in the white house in a row. Isnt it time for a person who's experienced MANY different cultures & knows the way to move us all forward?

People in Indiana, end the Drama-Vote Obama.

  • Its really too bad that he does not agree w/ the idea of individual liberty and equality in economics. He is just like any other leftist in that he is committed to increasing the size of the welfare state and redistributing our income. This is not freedom - its government oppression. For this reason I will happily cast my vote for McCain - the lesser of three evils.

  • Freedom of expression for all!

  • The Cheney energy bill Hillary supporters like to throw around actually tax more then it gave away. Thanks to a Democratic control Congress Democrats were able to take out a lot of the giveaways and put in more taxes on the energy companies. Obama ended up crunching the numbers and saw it has a tax and voted for it.

  • I wish more people would actually watch and listen to Obama. He could really help revive America as a world power. I wish he could start today.

  • I can respect a man that can say I made a mistake and I learned from it. Whoever said he didn't have enough experience, may have been intimidated by it.

  • the man actually admits to making a mistake!!!...he gets big points on that one!! this is one of the things we need in a president!

  • Superdeligates are for her because she can make a really smart and convincing lies to American people

  • Why don't they play THIS clip over and over on the cable news instead of his wacky pastor. Obama rocks!

  • An honest man can't be pres.

    Qualifications to be president:

-Being for NAFTA before being against NAFTA

    -Having survived Sniper fire

-Having pardoned a huge coke dealer and a millionaire tax cheat after "gifts" to your library

-Having thrown back a Crown Royal for the cameras

-Having a campaign manager thats still for NAFTA

-Having suggested to NOT count absentee ballots from Troops overseas

    - Having $120 million but only risking 5 on your own campaign

    - AND-having voted FOR the war in Iraq.

  • Here here great comment. XD I love it. Especially the "Survived Sniper Fire"

Hillary's campaign = I know what I'm doing because my husband was president. I know how to get your votes because I know what people want to hear, but don't worry the government can be trusted to help you out.

Barack's Stance = I know what the government is like, I'm part of it. This government is corrupt and people need to be able to easily learn so the American people can fight against the corruption.

    Vote Obama 08

  • Very easy for him to say he learned from a mistake... nice.

  • But this Tim guy was going to make it a big deal.

"Oh you voted for it" gimmick

  • Barack Obama is far more intelligent than any of his opponents, its about time we have an intelligent, eloquent leader of our country. This is what we need the most in a time like this

  • honesty from our next President, as opposed to pandering from his opponents. Do they think we're dumb? Do they think they can buy our votes for 30 bucks over the next few months and higher and higher gas prices, a huge loss of jobs, a crumbling infrastructure, and accelerated damage to our environment?

Sorry, Hillary. Sorry, McCain, we aren't that dumb.

  • Americans..can you explain..if you are "not that dumb" ? Then to as why was George W Bush Elected not once as President but twice? This is your chance to save face around the world!

  • YES!

  • A politician who admits a mistake and takes lessons from it?

    We're dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomed!

  • I wish people wouldn't fall for McCain/Clinton's pandering. I mean, come on! How can you fall for that??

  • People are accustomed to the "old politics." Clinton and McCain pander to people who like to be pandered. Obama represents the new politics which will progressively move us forward. I cannot imagine anyone seriously considering that things will be different if people vote for McCain or Clinton.

  • Thanks for the honesty Barack...thats why we need you in washington.

  • Smart dude.

  • the gas tax issue outline the fundamental difference between hillary and Barack. hillary just wants to win no matter what. our interest is not her concern. She will say and do whatever it takes to win. She sounds more republican than anything else.

  • Everybody should see this! GO OBAMA!

  • God Bless You Obama

  • Obama all the way

  • Russert: "Is it a pander?"

    Obama: "Yes"

Keep on Mr. President. Honesty and Truth prevails and will prevail.

  • Obama You are the man. God Bless you are your Family

  • Ditto!

  • BARACK OBAMA'08!!!!!!

  • Think about the economics of the gas tax holiday. The states, which are already cash strapped, will have even less money for building highways, with less money they build less and if they build less they need fewer workers. Thus, layoffs of highway workers in some number, probably substantial, would be the result of the gas tax holiday. On this issue I have to side with Obama because he's right which, for me, is saying something since I usually agree with Republicans on the economy.
