There was no Eric on the Season 1 DVD extras/commentary so he best be all up in the S2 one!
As Ball said few days ago in an interview and in Palay and Harris confirmed tha: Season 3 will be very loyal to book 3 with much more of course as sam, Lafa and Were...But defenetly it's time for Eric and Sookie...B/S has a connection that will never die as Ball himself said, but connection not realation...E/S are fated he said..so be optimistic...we gonna have a great Season 3...with a lot of Eric and E/S begening...^^
Ahh no I don't think so, I think E/S will start in Season 4. This has been stated by Alex himself in the EW interview and also this is what follows the books.
So yeah not much E/S till season 4, but hopefully great scenes of Eric in Season 3 which is what I'm after!

What the Queen meant by her statement was she has the power and influence to take Eric's fangs if she wanted too. Eric being a sheriff would be under her control.

Where did you get this information? Why would they write the Queen to be younger in the show, where in the books she is over a 1100 years old? Makes no sense. In true blood, the Queen is 2000 plus. Temperament has nothing to do with it as Bill Compton would have been a King or Sheriff. The Queen states, "You may be the oldest and strongest in my Queendom...but if I wanted, I could wear your fangs as earrings." Umm she can't do this only being 400 years old when Eric is over 1000.
It´s in the caracter information on hbo true blood web site .And also in several true blood staitments . If i´m not remember it wrong . One thing for shure is that AB have made alot different in the show .

Never said it gave away her age. I did however give a estimate based on what she said, which I believe is a reasonable assumption. The series has clearly outlined that the older Vampires obviously are much stronger than younger ones. We have yet to see clear-cut situations where a younger Vampire is more powerful than a MUCH older one. There very well can be Vampires that hold "authority" positions at a young age. But the Queen seemed to apply she is a lot stronger than Eric.
Allen Ball doesnt want to follow the hole story because if anyone who reads the books watches this it would be pointless because they know what is coming and when. He finds that books and movies should be different so he purposfully made them different.
Just because its in the books doesn't make it better. Allan Ball has made some fantastic choices, just be glad its following the books as much as it is! And enjoy the ride!

The show and the books are two different things . In the show eric is over 1000 years old and the queen just 400-500 years ( it´s different in the books ). Eric is much older och stronger then here . Well on True Blood, Queen Sophie is older. What other explanation would there be to why she is older? The older the Vampire the stronger. A Vampire the same age as another will not submit like Eric does to the Queen. All Vampires who are Kings and Queens represent the oldest Vampires, in addition to the adjudicators.
The Queen isn't any older than Eric is. She's just stronger and smarter . In the books it's explained that her temperment is why she became royalty and he'll always be just a sheriff.
If you guys remember correctly, Eric stated that Godric was the oldest vampire in the "New World." Meaning there are Vampires such as the Queen who represent the "Old World and are much older than Godric.
You are right , no one have said that goderic was the oldest of al vampiers ever lived . That he was the first one.. . But in episode 4 eric said to bill that there was no one obouve goderic and that he was very powerfoul . I take that to that goderic was the oldest vampier alive . At leist at that time in the world . And maybe there is more to that " no one obouve him " . I dont know ! . I also remember eric said that goderic cud have ben king in any vampier terytory in the world .

I dont think she's that different, maybe a bit more hip but equally as unpredictable, formidable, and fabulous. But where is ANDRE? They cant leave him out! Plus her back story ends up being important to her relationship with Sookie, but Im sure they will improvise.

This scene is so fantastic. We get to see Eric in a completely different situation. I would love Alexander Skarsgard to do commentary on this and let us know Erics POV on the queen for the Season 2 DVD set. Character insights plz :)
There was no Eric on the Season 1 DVD extras/commentary so he best be all up in the S2 one!

As Ball said few days ago in an interview and in Palay and Harris confirmed tha: Season 3 will be very loyal to book 3 with much more of course as sam, Lafa and Were...But defenetly it's time for Eric and Sookie...B/S has a connection that will never die as Ball himself said, but connection not realation...E/S are fated he said..so be optimistic...we gonna have a great Season 3...with a lot of Eric and E/S begening...^^

Ahh no I don't think so, I think E/S will start in Season 4. This has been stated by Alex himself in the EW interview and also this is what follows the books.
So yeah not much E/S till season 4, but hopefully great scenes of Eric in Season 3 which is what I'm after!

they did but Allen Ball doesnt want to follow the books completely because anyone who has read the books would know what is coming and he finds it pointless so they are following his own plot with bits and pieces of the orgiinal so it still follows the book to some degree.

What the Queen meant by her statement was she has the power and influence to take Eric's fangs if she wanted too. Eric being a sheriff would be under her control.
It is like back in the old days when a child sat on the throne and the adults around him/her had to obey or face the consequences.

Where did you get this information? Why would they write the Queen to be younger in the show, where in the books she is over a 1100 years old? Makes no sense. In true blood, the Queen is 2000 plus. Temperament has nothing to do with it as Bill Compton would have been a King or Sheriff. The Queen states, "You may be the oldest and strongest in my Queendom...but if I wanted, I could wear your fangs as earrings." Umm she can't do this only being 400 years old when Eric is over 1000.

thats not what the queen said, she said you may be the oldest strongest vampire in my queendom in the sense that asside from her he is old and strong and not to forget it. n it does not state her age in the show

Never said it gave away her age. I did however give a estimate based on what she said, which I believe is a reasonable assumption. The series has clearly outlined that the older Vampires obviously are much stronger than younger ones. We have yet to see clear-cut situations where a younger Vampire is more powerful than a MUCH older one. There very well can be Vampires that hold "authority" positions at a young age. But the Queen seemed to apply she is a lot stronger than Eric.

Allen Ball doesnt want to follow the hole story because if anyone who reads the books watches this it would be pointless because they know what is coming and when. He finds that books and movies should be different so he purposfully made them different.

Just because its in the books doesn't make it better. Allan Ball has made some fantastic choices, just be glad its following the books as much as it is! And enjoy the ride!

@Bufster I completly agree wit hyou...i think we could see S/E come closer in S3 but not together....and for me it's great becouse book 3 is defenitly the beginning of everything for them....Season 2 DVD will have Eric's comment or interviews, i put my money on that...it would be a shame on the contrary....

@monyka82 - oh okay so they do still get some (build up) scenes together in season 3? they need more banter/freinds moments. thats good to hear, am trying not to read the books...
I love that they are building it slow, makes it mean more, plus Bill got A LOT of scenes with her in S1 and S2.

@Bufster Yeah, even writers reply ot all the fans that want to see them together saying that they are going in S/E direction but very slowly 'couse even in the books averything is sooo slowly with them...they grown together books after book...it's a good thing to watch and read as well.....finger crossed^^

The show and the books are two different things . In the show eric is over 1000 years old and the queen just 400-500 years ( it´s different in the books ). Eric is much older och stronger then here . But he have to sumit to here becuse she is the queen which is higer then sheriff . I think one thing that made here queen was here temperment and forsight . But also here gift that she have , i think gave here the ability to become queen . please forgive my writhing .

Well on True Blood, Queen Sophie is older. What other explanation would there be to why she is older? The older the Vampire the stronger. A Vampire the same age as another will not submit like Eric does to the Queen. All Vampires who are Kings and Queens represent the oldest Vampires, in addition to the adjudicators.

The Queen isn't any older than Eric is. She's just stronger and smarter . In the books it's explained that her temperment is why she became royalty and he'll always be just a sheriff.

If you guys remember correctly, Eric stated that Godric was the oldest vampire in the "New World." Meaning there are Vampires such as the Queen who represent the "Old World and are much older than Godric.

You are right , no one have said that goderic was the oldest of al vampiers ever lived . That he was the first one.. . But in episode 4 eric said to bill that there was no one obouve goderic and that he was very powerfoul . I take that to that goderic was the oldest vampier alive . At leist at that time in the world . And maybe there is more to that " no one obouve him " . I dont know ! . I also remember eric said that goderic cud have ben king in any vampier terytory in the world .
