@metsdudenj LOL...well, as with many others due to aging, he's now about as stocky as Alec Baldwin. Met him at the 2009 Worlds during credentialing, and I literally floored everyone when I was the only one who ID'ed him as Vladimir Kovalev even before he had a chance to introduce himself...
@VintageSkate09 Until the late 1980s, it was normative for skaters (w/ the exception of ice dancers) to keep their programs for 2 years. Or, they'd keep a signitifant portion of the program and change the rest (e.g., Valova/Vasiliev, 83 to 84; Kadavy, 87 to 88). Midori Ito probably is the only major skater from that era (I can think of) who never repeated programs throughout her career.
