  • okey try it :P

  • man that clutch idea is awesome

  • @hcracer1985 Thanks, and it works awsome :D

  • 0:28 is that a factory made briggs and scrapiron pipe or did you put on the B.S. plate?

  • @ismokewead420 I put the briggs&stratton plate on :P

  • fucking love this music lol!

  • 3.5HP WTF? most of lawn mower engines are 150cc and there a diffrence between the HP! WTF?

  • @mapukmapuk what do you mean?

  • @bmxmatte1 i mean there the same 150cc engines but the HP is diffrent like: 150cc 3HP & 150cc 6HP!

  • @mapukmapuk yes, i have also seen this. i have B&S that are much like the one on the bike, but it is 5 HP.

they are bothe the same cc. I have disassemled bothe of those engines and the only differens i could find was that the 5HP engine did not have the bump on the "cam chaft" that makes the exhaust valve open too early. the reason that the 3,5HP have this "stupid" modification that makes it lose power is becous it dosn't tear so much on the engine.

  • if you turn a vertical shaft to horizontal position...is it not going to creat a problem with lubrication?

  • @EvendimataE yes the lubricatin is not working ideal when it´s placed horizontal. but i have about 1 maby 1,3 Liter of briggs & stratton lawnmower oil in the engine and it has been working perfectly many hours on the bike :)

  • @bmxmatte1 many hours? omg its mean that my dirt bike (in the future) will die after some hours? damn!

  • @mapukmapuk what is so funny? o_O

  • @bmxmatte1 its not funny! my plan to build dirt bike and it gonna work great but for many hours?

  • @mapukmapuk okey... well good luck with your prodjekt and make sure you post a video of it when it's done ;)

  • @bmxmatte1 ow tnx and sure i gonna upload a video, but this thing gonna take a month or something because i dont have welder lol, i want to buy welder on my birthday!

  • @mapukmapuk good :) welder is the best thing u can get ;)

  • @bmxmatte1 hey! i need your help again please, i almost built my bike but i want to make own gas tank, i mean fill liquid in bag and somehow make the bag hard enought, do you think if i put alot of epoxy on the bag, it will be very hard and dont break? because i didnt find good gas tank for my bike, there are 1 nice tank but only 800ml lol, do you think its ok 800ml in gas tank? ROFL? my scooter has 1.5ltr lol, and what the gear ratios you think are the best? my engine B&S 4-6HP and 150cc+, TNX!

  • @mapukmapuk you should drop the idea obout making your owne gas tank out of a bag???? if you going to build a tank, build it out of steel :p

i would use the 800ml i think that is more than enough, unless u going to commute with it.

and about the weels... i use a 26inch weel back now, and it still has good acceleration :)

  • @bmxmatte1 thats easy to say, i cant build gas tank from metal, but i found one from plastic that 1.5 liter, i think its very good (the same tank like on the scooter lol), forget about the bag lol (stupid idea) ,i have good idea about the clutch, i want to make clutch from: bicycle tire (resize), wheel hubs and some metal, easy to build but i dont know if the tire (belt from hub to hub) will hold out the engine torque, part 2...

  • @bmxmatte1 i have this problem with the scooter too, the clutch is slippery and dont get all the torque from the engine... i can make better gear but i dont have much space near the engine lol, i will have not space for put my foot on, its pretty bike but fatty lol

  • @mapukmapuk okey, it is good if the belt slips a little, less strain on the engine... but V-belts ussualy dont slip so mutch, are u using a V-belt?

  • @bmxmatte1 bicycle tire is like a v-belt so yes, i only need to resize it

  • @mapukmapuk okey now i see what you meant, i also considered that solution when i built my bike, but i found it to difficult to conect the enginshaft to the hub that goes on the weel so it would work when you clutch it. but you maby have a good idea :D

  • @bmxmatte1 yea all the problem is to put the hub on the crankshaft lol but if the crank shaft is from steel or iron its gonna be easier

  • @mapukmapuk if you mount it like that te engine going to be to far out the side of the bike...

  • @bmxmatte1 it could make disbalance, but how it will help me lol?

  • @bmxmatte1 part 2 - lol, i use 20 inch wheels, what do you prefer - more max speed or more acceleration?

  • the clutch would not totally stop the running right?

  • very cool - nice job.

  • very cool - nice job.

  • nice job keep it up

  • what kind of muffler is that?

  • @huntandfish9 i got that from an old 600cc 2-stroke MC

  • Love the stretch look of it, awesome job!

  • @romanroman1975

    thanks man :)

  • how did u connect that carb to the tube from the intake???

  • @shinyfuzzy

i made a extension out of metall and coppar tubing and welded a bracket on the metall pipe so i could bult on the carb

  • does it still run now that its months later?

  • @shinyfuzzy yes i thinks so, but i have not used it becous its winter now. but the engin works fine on the bike.

  • damn, i been looking for this vid for ever :/ those kits all look like shit :/ i like hand build ones better =]

  • how fast does it go???

  • @khylek123 max is about 60km/h

  • Very nice im building one too well for my mate, can u do a video that shows how the engine attached to the frame and the mods your done etc.

  • 2 sroke if not how did you do make it run on the horizonally

  • i pluged the oil ventilation so it dont spray oil all over the plaze.

then i youst made some modifikations so the carb was vertical :D

  • @bmxmatte1 - Yes, but what about the oil slinger? It won't be sitting in oil now, the engine is gonna seize without oil. If its 2-stroke you can get away with this, if its 4-stroke its eventually gonna tighten up on you. That's the reason why people say not to build go-karts with lawnmower engines. Your gonna have to modify it on the inside soon, before you wreck the engine.

  • @doomsd46

believe me the engin can take it. I've driven it over a mil (swedish mil) in a row and it has not been any problems.

but i make sure that i have at least 1L of oil in it.

  • @bmxmatte1 - Don't most lawnmowers take about 500ml? If you put a litre in there then the piston and cam will be throwing oil and lubricating the engine, however, the connecting rod is smacking into the oil and that really isn't good either. If it is supposed to have 1 litre of oil, then it is eventually going to just stop and it will be seized because it won't be getting oil. It may be running, but unless you have done a conversion on the lube system you are killing it...

  • @doomsd46

you have a point, but it's not a commuter vehicle, so it does not need to be perfect. it would be best to get hold of a vertical engine becous it was designed to get the best lubrication, but u take what u can get :D

  • @bmxmatte1 - Yes, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it has to be better then nothing, which it has right now. Every time its run everything is being worn out, even if you can't see it, but you will eventually see signs of it dying. Without lubrication, the connecting rod will be making a new window in the crank case and possibly making a fist size hole in someone's unfortunate leg if they happen to be on or near it when the connecting rod EXITS THE ENGINE. But I am not gonna argue it anymore.

  • Well done!

But if i may ask how did you managed to put it on the bike while it has a vertical shaft?? i am trying to build one on my bike to but it has an vertical shaft because the engine is from a lawn mower plz respond

  • @Koekepeerr I also used a vertical shaft lawnmower engin. I took the carb off and put the engin uppright and then modifyed the in take so i could mount the carb verticly. and when i mounted it on the bike i used the regular enginmounts on the lawnmower, and just bulted it to the modifyed frame. :)

  • Ok, I was thinking of doing that, but it won't leak at all provided I mount the gas and carb vertical?
