It's part of the physics engine, they can't patch elevators they would have to put a barrier over every single one, still not patching the elevator, how they work is that the game thinks you are part of the wall, and they've been around since cod4 like legendary said, IW knew about them since cod4 and did nothing, they won't do anything about it
