@DarkMurdoc666 NO they didnt, sega and nintendo had a big rivalry at the time so theres no way this coulve been released for the nes. this is from sega master system footage
@benblanco1000 no this is not master system.. don't know why it says ega at the title screen, but those graphics are definitifly nes.. there was afterburner for the nes too..
@ninelivecat well afterburner on the nes was actually made by sunsoft, and afterburner is almost the same game type, made by the same company sega and developed by am2 but for the nes release sunsoft did it, so it's weird that the space harrier version actually says SEGA on the title screen
@TheMeleeMaster21 I know what you are saying but it doesn't matter how many third parties they went through before the game made it onto the NES it's still a Sega arcade license Also Sega is brand identification for the game
@ninelivecat but seriously?? sega developed a game for the nes? It's almost impossible.. XD i can't image that sega would do that back in the 80 and 90's :P i but it is still an unlicensed game, so maybe it's just a pirate copy
@TheMeleeMaster21 No Sega didn't develop it The Sega name is on the Title screen because Sega owned the intellectual copyright to the game being the original developers of the arcade game also it's brand identification Sega and Space Harrier go together
@TheMeleeMaster21 BTW I'm not sure about Takara / Sunsoft making an official port of Space Harrier for the Famicon / NES so you could be right about this being a pirate but I'm thinking it was a legal port but maybe not a very widely distributed one
Yup, i checked, this game never came out for the NES, it came out for the Famicon, but that would mean the text would be in Japanese, so this is probibly a pirated version.
no this is sega master system footage, this guy is messing with you

Deny it all you want, but this is an NES port of Space Harrier. I even found the cart for this on Ebay. If you don't believe me, look it up

onecreativecriminal 2 months ago
@onecreativecriminal Tengen licensed some SEGA games and released ports on the NES, Afterburner is another example.

At everyone who say this is on the SMS, i have the NES version and the SMS version. They both exist, and this is for a fact the NES one.
Now could all of you lay off?

@benblanco1000 Nope, the NES port is a japanese exclusive, this runs smoother but doesn't look as good as the Master System port.
