I'm afraid I agree with 87Hadley. For heaven's sake, some blankets and food would have helped them. Please don't ever do that again. I know you felt you couldn't take them, but perhaps you could have nurtured them outdoors. BTW wo dogs and a bird are not competition for kittens. They could grow together and be friends. And maybe some of the kittens would have gotten adopted. A lot of newspapers run free ads for such. Or a local humane society might could have helped.

@owynferpet - a hoarder??? You couldn't save these kittens and find them homes? Oh because you have 2 dogs and bird, oh wow really!? I have 2 dogs and 4 cats now, all 6 of them rescues from outside, one cat still looking for a home but we will keep her as long as it takes. Two dogs and one bird isn't hoarding, and not an excuse to have let these kittens die. You adore all baby animals, but can't save these and find homes, what the hell ever. Go play with your bird.

I gave the baby behind my BBQ some natural no sugar yoghurt from an old syringe I had for feeding my baby birds with. Then when I went away the mother cat took her away and put her somewhere in a secret hiding place.

Hi, have'nt seen any kittens this year. I think someone who lives around here is maybe taking them in or they were all trapped by animal control. But if its any consolation there was a huge cat fight outside near me at around 10pm last night.They were making so much noise I think they were trying to kill each other.So maybe they grew up or something. By the way I did'nt see the cat fight because it was dark.

OK. I probably wont see anymore, There was a dead kitten on the road this spring. It must have been sleeping on the wheel of a parked car. It was very sad. Next time I will find a rescue group.

That is so gross its like when I had two birds and they laid an egg then when the egg hatched they ignored the baby so I took it and put it in a box with a lamp over it and fed it with a syringe and it survived, but then there was an earthquake about six months later and it fell off its perch and broke its neck.

u shud have taken them to vets where they had formula to feed newborn animals. & after cats mate the female usually chases the male away and hides them from tom cats because my cats had kittens in a warm pile of old clothes in the shed and 2 dayz later i caught the dad eating one of the new borns, if there was something wrong with it the mother would have eaten it ._.

If you live in Canada you can come here and find some. There are lots of cats running free in the park around here but they hide their kittens really well.

For the last time, the mother was looking after the kittens and moved them to a secret location so I could not find them again. Maybe they survived maybe they did'nt. Now I see huge cats roaming around everywhere homeless and wild, killing little birds to eat and hiding around every corner at night. This is cat land not Canada. So please don't ask me where the kittens are now.

Maybe most people would want them but when they grow up and you have to clean their litter box and can't go away for a weekend and they scratch all your stuff plus take them to the vet and put more money on your credit card plus not let them out in case they get run over by a car I guess people think twice about taking on that responsibility. I hate people who abandon animals when they realise how much work it takes and how much the vet bills costs,

Yes, they are very beautiful. I wish I could have kept them. I found one behind my BBQ. So I fed it with a syringe and put a fence so I could look after it, then the mother cat came and climbed the fence and took the kitten away. I love cats they are very loving cute creatures and vey intelligent.

We all want them. Some people don't realise that they are a lifelong commitment. That's why there are so many strays on the streets and in the parks and at the SPCA's. Also some of those sweet kitties end up in the wrong hands and get tortured.OMG I saw it on the TV the other day, all those poor animals asking what they did wrong and they are covered in bruises and wounds. These kitties on the video, the mother cat moved them to another location. Maybe someone took them.Who knows?

Then at the end of the cold weather I saw my neighbour had some kittens playing in front of his window so I thought they were the same kittens, he also took in the mother cat. He told me weeks later that he took in the mother and she had the kittens in his place. I just hope the kittens in the video had a happy ending. I love kittens. By the way, the kittens in the video were too young to be taken away from their mother, I would never take babies away from their mother.

What excactly happened was that the mother cat moved them to another location so I didnt know where they were. Then some weeks later I saw an animal Patrol van and the officer had a kitten not the ones I saw in a cage so I said to him are you going to kill it. He said no they will go to a shelter, he said they do things in the best interest of the kitten. He trapped another one the day before. He said they are better of in the shelter than living under a rock in the park.

I have some great news. The other day I noticed that my neighbour had the mother cat and had her spaid, he also took the kittens. he gave two to a pet store and kept the black and white one.

The mother cat moved them to a new location after I took the pictures. I could'nt find them after. I would have kept trying to get them adopted. The animal control probably caught them as I saw them with a kitten in a cage, not the ones I photographed. I asked him what he was going to do with the kitten and he said it would go to an animal shelter. He said it is better there then under a rock. He caught another one the day before. He said they do what is best for the kittens.
