I think they filmed at the Safari Park Hotel at Kasarani, very beautiful place. On another note I thinkt hey have tried, but I think Kenyans need well directed and produced videos if they want to compete with the rest of top performing African musicians. nigerians are way ahead of us, even Tanzania and Uganda are doing better.
Indians worldwide will recognise the salwaar-khameez, bindi and Hindi lyrics of the song from 1.40 in the song.... tell me, folks, isn't this the coolest tribute to Indian culture.... !!!
Yes - we have to preserve these hits - they will never be the same with the latest craze of press play sing (Kareoke). The live musicians playing acustics intruments are getting fewer by the day - not to mention the quality of singers - All we get these days is bathroom singers opening their lap tops and doing voice overs ....and still having the audacity to charge the audience.
The Digo gentleman is half right. This SUPERB song starts with a combination of Swahili and Giriama. Then switches to HINDI (indian national lingo) in the first verse, then back to Swahili.
Sorry ssembonge - Definitely a great song but this is not a Kiswahili cover of a Shakira song. This song has been around for several decades and is a great example of a song from Unguja (Zanzibar) that merges Kiswahili with Hindi/Gujrati/Kaschi.
Juma has always been talented hence, the Hindu beats and voice. Kumbuka St. Barnabas Otiende???We were in the choir together...Proud to see you doing so well my brother. God Bless!
hi we are all alive and well and still singing as KAYAMBA AFRICA we just are about to complete our fourth album we are also enjoying a great year after successful tours to Oman,China, and S.Africa, we are planning for christmas in the USA.

This Song "Macho Yana Cheka Moyo Unalia' was originally composed and played by a group known as Black Star under Bi. Shakila in Tanga, Tanzania.
Another song worth to mention also done by Bi. Shakila and Black Star from Tanga, Tanzania : ''Kifo Cha Mahaba'.
Job well done by Kayamba Africa to preserve these 'golden hits' from East Africa.
