@TheGondorian Any trailing locomotives are controlled from the lead locomotive via a 27 pin connector cable (aka) MU Cable. The engineer controls all units with one throttle. The reverser is centered in all trailing units an the handle removed. Then MU Hoses are connected for sand and other functions.

Great, but can I appeal to all rail photographers to limit the use of the telephoto lens?! It distorts speed, length,etc.

its just a helper, its all being controlled from the first unit

there is wiresin between the engines to power it. so if the lead unit power up, so will the CSX and the B unit
