I have essentially the exact same bass, the Brewer model looks and sounds like it has an aftermarket pre and that's about it; I'd love to know which one it is so I can get a similar sound. The B string is a little bit underwhelming on the Surveyor, maybe it would word better as an E
Are you people stupid? Stop comparing Evan to Les Claypool. Les tries to be some kind of "enigma" on the Bass, if you TRY to be an enigma then you're as far away from being one as you can be. Evan uses far more advanced techniques than Les, and is far more melodic. Check out Evan's album "Alone", it's excellent.
@EnveBeats i was implying that i like les claypool more also les does alot of musical things on bass to say he is mechanical is kinda accurate but only to a few songs \
southbound pachyderm american life are good examples of "musical" playing also les uses alot of slap instead of tapped bass so they are two different styles either way this guy is good les is also good but they are different styles
