@cruiser277777 Hell yes, in belly to earth postion I average about 125mph, by "diving" I've managed 180mph. The record for speed diving is well over 300mph now :)
@cruiser277777 Well terminal velocity is just the name given to the speed when you stop accelerating due to the drag force you're creating equalling the gravity force. But if you change position you change your drag profile and will slow down or speed up accordingly. So adopting that dive position reduces drag a lot.
18 jumps minimum at Peterlee. Don't do unstable exit and backloops together. Nor Dive exit and tracking together. I did 3 stable falls to sort my spinning out, see "spinning around"
My Cat8 jump, this one, was my 28th jump. Category 8 qualification along with Canopy Handling 1 (CH1) qualification gets you your skydiving A' Licence. I'm led to believe the average is a bit higher than 28 for RAPS students. It's possible to get cat8 in 18 jumps.
Doody! Are you gona get your own rig ? and go on a packing course? :S just an idea i have when i have completed my AFF course so skydiving would be cheaper?
if you go from the belly down position to pointing your head down and arms back i.e a dive, do you actually go any faster?
