- Yamakasi is the name of a former team who practiced l'Art du déplacement (parkour technics and others more based on style and esthetism)

- D. Belle does parkour it means he aims to be efficient. If using a rope, or taking the stairs is faster than climbing down a wall, so it is still parkour.

There r certain techniques which prevent you from hurting yourself. Anyway nobody told you to jump from high places right away. These guys are pros (plus david belle is the creator) who have been working on parkour for many years and have such strong bodies which can withstand the impact. begginers have to start low nad progress slowly. Safety rule "not jumping from hights over one meter for the first year of parkour training" amongst other safety rules as well :)
