Dizon was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her mother is French-American, and her father is Chinese-Filipino. She is the fourth of six children: she has two older brothers, an older sister, and two younger brothers. She says she grew up listening to rock and R&B music. She took dance lessons and was in her high school theater.[2] After graduating from high school, Dizon moved to Los Angeles, California.

On another note, this song is epic. They used it in a Japanese drama short called Tokyo Prom Queen (which is also on YouTube). It's a remake of the US ver. This song, when I listen to it, feels so 'Japan' in the best way possible. I think the video does a good job showing using the aesthetics of the Tokyo skyline as a symbol of beauty. It may be in vein but I like it!
