  • Notice the star of this ad is a negro, when there's just about no negroes in Australia. Obviously Dell couldn't be bothered making an Australian ad, just voiced over an America one.

  • damn negroids :P

  • huh? th person at the beginning of an ad isn necessarily the 'star'. None of the factory workers stand out as the main character. Why is the guy's colour an issue? If Australians (i live there) r discouraged from buying Dell bcos there's a black actor in this ad, then I think it says more about Australians than about Dells marketing. What do you want, all the factory workers to be average to slighly overweight white guys wearing board-shorts & thongs with an esky of VB close at hand?

  • right on brother! >=) (Y)

  • Nope, it's actually been shown that even amazing black women such as Beyonce, does not sell magazines. It was being discussed on the 7PM project (an australian TV show) a couple of nights ago. It's been proven time and time again, for whatever the reasons, black women (presumably black men also) don't sell magazines.

  • So it is there poor marketing, they obviously haven't bothered catering for different target market. I don't understand why it doesn't sell. I have nothing at all against black people or people of any colour. it's just how it is for whatever reason or another. Most likley I'd suggest it comes down to not relating to them therefore subconsciously assuming the ad is irrelavant and not taking in the messages/listening to it.

  • i saw that 7pm Prject discussion, but tv ads r a different format 2 magazines, which focus on 1 person on the cover. The ad has the generic 'rainbow' mix of Caucasion, Black and Asian factory workers, with no 1 person of a specific colour standing out, th way sum1 on a magazine does. Mayb ther r similar studies in tv ads, i don't know, but many Black sports stars are used in ads (Tiger Woods-Gillette) to supposedly good effect.. I don't think this ad is limited to an American target market

  • Wrong. There is a lot around where I live. Why the hell does it matter what skin color he is anyway?

  • dell has great laptops. i have owned 2 over 4 years. never had a problem

  • i only watch this for the onsg :)

  • HP Pwns dell

  • Gaaaaaay!, if my new vid dont make you laugh SUEEEE MEEEE

  • That's not how the really make computers do they?

  • No, they use malaysians in sweatshops :(

  • What a bloody Dell!

  • lol

  • @

POXXERR You do realise that both Apple and Dell and most other manufacturers utilise the same components... :S. Also like fuzzmiister said, where is your evidence. Have you done an undercover expose' of the whole operation.... ?

  • Woah dude, calm down.

    Its just a computer.

    Nothing to get agro about.

Go get some therapy or something.

    Deal with your anger issues.

  • hey man i wasn't disagreeing with u i was just saying that's not proof and if all computers are shit wouldn't that mean that built computers are shit as well??

  • doesn't dell use prison labour?

i would kill to get into that prison.

  • were did you get that?

  • Most people don't care about the computer their using and is used to windows so a colourful enough add will sure attract the adtention of hte casucl user

  • that is the shittest comuter to fukin live.. dell and hp are the shittest

  • Have you got any evidence to back up those broad and rather sweeping claims?

I've owned two Dell laptops over the past 4 years and have never had an issue with them. In fact. I've found them to offer one of the best price points for most given packages.

  • yer i hav evidence. they use low quality parts. there good for work but not a gaming computer that was my point..

  • that's not really evidence, your just making a statement which may or may not be true

  • despite what some may say Laptop and Gaming do not go together.

I also have been impressed with the dell inspiron laptops, i use mine extensively for work and have never had an issue with it, for the $700 i paid i figure its a bargain.

  • LOL, so random I love it. 4/5 and favourited. :)

  • DELLete.

  • wtf does that have to do with laptops?

  • LOL, awsome ad!

  • 15th comment lol love this ad

  • Lolly Pop :B

  • lol the ending was unexpected o.o

    and

    that was cool xD

  • Omfg I hate watching videos of computers that are better than mine, I got no money

  • you have got to admit, that was cool.

  • Wow... thats.. different?

  • if only these great laptops had a better option than windows......End Bill Gates Run!! He's ripped you off enough already...

    The return of the MAC!!!!

  • But you won't be able to install Mac OS on this laptop...

  • exactly

  • Id count that as a bonus

  • So a system that runs all the games and applications I could ever want VS. a system that can be hacked in 2 minutes.

    Hmmmmmm.......

  • hacked in two minutes...you MUST be talking about windows 7

  • No, I'm talking about OS X. If you did your research, you'd find that Window's Vista & 7 are the most secure operating systems in the world. Or you can continue to believe Mac's commercials which are purposely targeted towards the ignorant and stupid.

  • Oh and a Mac WAS hacked in 2 minutes in a PWN to OWN competition FYI.

  • i love colourful ads :3 8th comment
