I also have a question of the DMH Cutouts. I have a 2010 Dodge Charger R/T and I welded mine in the area right under closer to the driver and passeger seats or where the gear shifter is. First, is it bad to drive them open all the time? Second, Should have i welded them more closer to the exhaust, near the mufflers?
@matthewpwns77 Most shops will do them on any car, but I'd check your states vehicle code first. It can be a pretty hefty violation if they're illegal like in illinois
@ChicagoBears1 Noise depends on if the cop feels like being a douche, emissions is whereyou have to worry. some states have heavier codes than others.
@Rickjames214 Thanks for the quick reply. Would the emissions deal still make a difference if in IL they plug something in under the dashboard as opposed to putting the hose on the exhaust tip? Sorry, I don't know too much about cars.
@ChicagoBears1 Unfortunately no. At least here in Illinois they'll fail the car if they see cutouts since it's much more of a free-flow of exhaust gases from the engine. I think it's unnecessary, otherwise I'd put them on my mustang in a second
@Rickjames214 Good to know, thanks! I took my TBSS to the emissions facility in Mount Prospect in April so I'm good for three years. It is kind of loud as is, but the guy did not check under it for anything. I think I'm going to pull the trigger!

@Rickjames214 Are they illegal because of the noise? This sounds bad ass.
