  • It wasn't suicide cause he had talked to his mother that morning and had not drank at all that morning it was from drinking the night before.

  • @Beemanbros

you don't have .47 blood alcohol after death, from drinking the night before.

  • this is so sad he was an awesome singer

  • PS. To those Lorrie haters out there.... she did the best she could with the hand that she was dealt. She couldn't babysit the man for crying out loud? He was an adult! He drank anti-freeze..... big contributor to his death. I mourn for Jesse Keith and for Lorrie! That was the LOVE of her LIFE and even tho she's been married a few times, I don't think anyone will ever compair to her soul mate, Keith Whitley.

  • I still makes me so sad when I am reminded of Keith's passing. I named my daughter Jannea Whitley Gribble and she will be 22 years old next month. A living tribute to this man. It doesn't matter how this man left this world. He left a LEGACY! No one's voice can compair, then, or now.

  • Nice georgia marble wing monument. He had a great voice, very distinct

  • she'll be beside him

  • Miami, My Amy, Miami My Amy loves me afterall... ( r.i.p MY AMY 8/24/2001)

  • I was stationed at marine barracks Guam and had just gotten off duty when I read of his death. What a loss.

  • im 28 years old!!!!just now heard his music.. its to me like george jones and george strait mixed together... what a terrible loss.. this man is the voice of country.. i will make sure my son listens and loves his music as do i !!!!!

  • May 9th 1989 was a very very sad day for me,I thought my Mom was strange in her thoughts on Elvis,But I Guess to Mom,Keith Was My Elvis,Forever And Always,I Will Never Ever Forget.....

  • He needed medical help, but he also had to be willing to get help.

Very sad but all to familiar.

  • R.I.P. KEITH WHITLEY YOU WHERE MY FAVORITE SINGER LOVE YOU KEITH WHITLEY I WAS GOING TO NAME MY 2ND DAUGHTER NAME " WHITLEY "

  • is he gona b buried next to that whore? R.I.P. WHAT ASHAME

  • @notfarc1 ... I hear that brother, she's been married like 5 times since he died. Everyone she married, was only to further her career. He's long been forgotten.

  • @Gronad she was married to two of the best singers of all time and pissed on both

  • Keith truly had a great voice and had a god given talent

  • I just wished that he were able to overcome his problem like Randy travis did. Randy literally got in trouble with the law at times with his problem with drinking but he was able to get help somehow. I just wished that keith whitley would have been able to do that with his drinking. That is such a sad way to die

  • i remeber the day this was announced i was at school

  • Who the hell cares!! What he died of...Hes gone... We lost The most talented artist of all time...WTF..Who cares what his alcohol level was..If anyone had to walk in his shoes you would drink too....we lost an Icon...

  • @itheresabrat

Unfortunately, it does matter, because he was so talented and so loved, and yet, that wasn't enough to overcome his addiction to alcohol. It matters because a blood level of .470 means that literally 1/2 of the fluid in his veins was alcohol, and that screams of suicidal behavior. It matters because his actions led directly to his own demise, and robbed his small son of his father. He left behind some great music but he also caused a great deal of pain. It matters.

  • @itheresabrat the man lost his fight with one of the worst demons known to me, i am a recovering addict myself, i know what it's like to sometimes live day to day trying not to use. yes, it was a terrible loss for so many and always sad when someone loses the battle with addiction, but try not to judge anyone who struggles with this.

  • please sign the petition to induct Keith Whitely inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.......please do it today.............

  • RIP Keith

  • .470 blood level. wow. thats alot of alcohol.

  • A very sad day for country music. We lost one of the greatest of all time.
