  • hi im having trouble downloading websites an error message keeps on coming up i need ur help

  • lol MUUUUHHAHAHAH I got schools homepage and saw all Passwords

  • is this works on login sys??

    and register sys?

  • This works fine for sites that have all public material, but how about sites that take logins, and / or establish session IDs? From what I can tell, HTTrack doesn't seem to enable offline use of such mirrored sites. (If I'm wrong, PLEASE do a post showing how!)

  • Love you thank you!

  • Can't you like... use mozilla fire fox and save as page? and then ... you would have everythng?

  • This is awesome, i put the site on my phone and i can view it offline, but the bad thing is that i got like 500 pics on my phone. and is it possible to copy youtube?! or other big sites?

  • tanks this really worked u own dude

  • Sure - I agree - this is a basic introduction for people who have no experience with mirrors. I generally find it very useful when instructors give me an html website to modify but don't give me the files. I demonstrate its use in Part 1 of Making Over the Rhine in FLEX.

There are a host of tools to use - depending on the job - and as technology changes tools loose their viability if not updated.

Wiki's are database driven - different tools for that one.

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Impressive video but WinHTTrack has some limitations, one I have found very frustrating is that it cannot copy a Wiki site properly. Wikis do not follow the traditional inverted tree subfolder format, which makes it difficult to download subfolders which are in fact equal members of the same tree. Another is the notation used for images, such as Image:blackcats1.jpg
