I think Mexican fighters tend to be tougher than Puerto Rican fighters, but Puerto Rican fighters tend to have sharper and better hands naturally.
@MusicalRelease Sharper and better hands depends on the boxers technique. There are many different regions of Mexico that incorporate different styles of fighting. Don't think that just cause you see one boxer from Culiacan slugging it out that all the other Mexican boxers will fight the same. Finito for example was very sharp. As is Marquez now at days. So that's also a misconception.

He had speed, skill, size, smarts, and tons of raw talent to go with his charisma. Pacman is a beast in the lower weight classes but not THE top fighter.
As for the P4P list. very good. You can count. But 2 equals 2 doesn't it?? and Mexico has constantly had fighters on that list for years. Unlike the phillipines

I think Mexican fighters tend to be tougher than Puerto Rican fighters, but Puerto Rican fighters tend to have sharper and better hands naturally.

@MusicalRelease Sharper and better hands depends on the boxers technique. There are many different regions of Mexico that incorporate different styles of fighting. Don't think that just cause you see one boxer from Culiacan slugging it out that all the other Mexican boxers will fight the same. Finito for example was very sharp. As is Marquez now at days. So that's also a misconception.

@opinionpuerca Si mano Margarito es muy orgulloso, pero es un gran peleador y tiene corazon y admiro mucho eso de los mexicano... La mayoria nunca se quita y sigue la pelea no importa cuanto los nokeen.. Asi es el boricua por eso es que nuestras peleas son las mejores las de mex contra bori... somos como los gallos y los pitbull siempre para alante sin quitarnos los guantes jajaja

@opinionpuerca JAJAJA cotto le dio unas clases de boxeo a mayorga... Pronto cotto y margarito esa pelea va estar fuerte... Margarito es un tipo lento pero que pega como una bestia, y cotto tiene el estilo y el jab pero si no lo usa margarito es fuerte y resiste mucho golpe puede nokiar a cotto de nuevo con esos upper de derecha...
