I was in middle school when this song came out. I loved it even before I really understood the lyrics about a couple trying to find new life in an old relationship. Now that I am middle age I love the song even more. Boy do I understand it now. David Foster is a great song songwriter

This live version of Heart to Heart sounds better than the original back in the day. Kenny Loggins doesn't look his age, and his voice is still incredible. In my opinion this is Kenny Loggins at his best. The background ladies did a great job, as did all the musicians. I must give that canadian David Foster full credit for knowing how to arrange and produce, as well as write and perform music. He might have a mild ego problem, but the guy is talented musically.

Kenny Loggins performed a concert on the aircraft carrier, USS MIDWAY (CV-41) on last Saturday, before Memorial Day and it was 'da bomb'!!!  He couldn't leave without sing "Danger Zone" which he did and he also sung "Heart to Heart." It's my favorite song by him and I have the 45 record still. This proves that great music is 'colorblind' as I am an African-American male and a US Navy Sailor.
