  • These tyres make you good at playing the drums.

  • I KNOW THIS BEST TIRS

  • Why their called Summer tires?Like for example if you use the to drive on Winter what will happen? PLEASE ANWSER cause im buing them in a couple of days

  • I run these on the rear of my Supra. Grip surprised the hell out of me in dry and especially wet conditions.

  • I run these on my Micra 160R (~120hp). Excellent grip and extremely smooth with no rumble at all. Superb grip in the wet compared to other budget tyres. Mine are lasting really well but the car barely weighs a ton. I guess life would be shorter on bigger, heavier cars.

  • toyo t1r or hankook ventus v12 evo ...?!?:-/

  • I have them mounted on my Volvo V40 1.8 and so far so well, amazing grip and very well behavied in wet conditions.

  • Crap tyre imo! No where near as good as my conti sport contacts i had on before.

Horrible in the wet and a very numb feeling turn in on a dry road.

Gonna go for some goodyear eagle f1s GSD3 next.

  • @Neodug dude, either you do not know what you`re talking about or there is something seriously wrong with your car set up!

used these for 3 years now-never skidded once on wet or dry roads, and even got me 20 miles on back roads to work on several seriously icy mornings that saw many many cars sat at the side of the roads unable to find traction!

the only down side I`ve found is life/mileage (around 10k) which is rubbish but worth it for the return in confident `spirited` driving.

  • @inyourdreamsladdie well i went for the eagles f1s after on the same car and they are amazing! bought another set for my new car (dc2 integra type-r) i cant make this car understeer!

buy a set mate you will see the difference.

  • @Neodug I might just take you up on that, money`s tight right now and I don`t know if I can live with the truly awfull mileage with these, I want/need something as good but with (much) better life span!

  • excelent tires, very very high grip but the sides (flank) are so soft and make the steerring respons a little imprecise

excelentes neumaticos, muy alto agarre pero los flancos son demasiado blando y provocan una reaccion del volante un tanto imprecisa.

  • haha..

    giv u 4/5 stars!

    highly recommended tyres!

already bought n tested, its grips when cornering.

sorry, its fcuking grip when cornering.

but d tires maybe not long lasting.

  • Great tires. Amazing in the wet, and even good below freezing. Drifting on dry pavement is very progressive and controlled. Drifting on wet is a bit more unpredictable (but that's probably true with most tires).

    I'd definitely buy another set.

  • Forgot to mention noise - no appreciable noise issues, either. Good for relaxing highway driving.

Gas mileage isn't really worse than the more narrow all-weathers that I use during winter.

    Great tires.

  • I have these tyres mounted on my Peugeot 309 GTI (low powered: 130hp but I'm not easy on the gas) , they are simply great for street and mild race use on a light compact sport car.

The choice of tyres depends on much factors: size of the tyre, use, driving style, weather conditions, road surface etc...

The truth is that these tyres are SLIGHTLY less performant than "higher brands" but WAY cheaper.

So all in all they have no competitor considering the value for money (except Kumho maybe).

  • with that im just stating my point of view having used these different tyres before. not trying to start a flaming session.

  • Comment removed

  • alright i guess this argument is going nowhere. different people with different opinions. the eaglef1 gds3, re001 and the dz101 costs about the same as a t1r and they perform better, with the eagle f1's being the second worst

also i already corrected my statement about the semi slicks and yes they cost alot more.

like u said they performed well in the 2005 ring a2 class... but its 4 years since then. better tyres of the same class are out already. whats gd then may not be as good now.

  • hmm i reckon it isnt fair comparing those tyres to the t1rs... so ill choose lower end tyres that are not semi slicks.

re001, goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric, direzza dz101 just to name a few are street performance tyres and they perform alot better than the t1r.

  • Im not sure your loaded so you dont see much in price difference, but some of these street tyres youve mentioned cost way more than T1R, its not good comparison at all mateYou get what you pay for. Never used those tyres before, but I heard T1R gives equal or better overall performance than some of those tyres anyway. Have you used them before?

  • If you can tell me, if there is any other tyre with equal or less pricing than T1R and provides better overall performance, cost performance, comfort, wet traction and previously used in well-known professional race and achieved high ranking to prove them selves ('2005 24 Hours Nürburgring' first in the A2 class). Please let me know. Im very curious, I would like to try that tyre next time.

I mean this tyre is good enough for professional race I wonder what that crap really reflex to.

  • T1Rs are crap. They understeer alot.

  • Understeer occurs when front tyres have a less traction than rear tyres. So if you have all four same tyres (same traction) with specified air pressure, should not effect the under or oversteer of the car itself by default. If you want to fix it, either change two front tyres with more traction than rear or change two rear tyres with less traction than front. Otherwise take it to mechanics and change your cars Shock Absorber/Coil Spring setting. Don't blame the tool!

  • dont take me for a car idiot. i know what im talking about. and yes, i have my suspension set up. toyo t1r's are crap period. even the goodyear gds3 eagle f1s, which are also not very good are much better. once u try tyres like the ad07, reo1r, r1r or re070... u will understand what i am talking about.

also to change tyres with front being more sticky is just spelling disaster. only idiots do that. understeer is much easier to control than oversteer. esp in a ff layout

  • The reason I said Don't blame the tool is at the end, its the drivers job to find out whats the maximum potential of the each car part can do. If youre expecting T1R can do the same performance as semi slick tyres, which you have mentioned and driving to the max with same velocity. Ofcourse youll be having problem around the corner. Its like youve bought running shoes for hiking and got blisters and twisted ankle and complaining its a crap shoes. Wrong product for the wrong purpose.

  • Which goes back to the original question T1Rs are crap? Not its not, sounds like you just abused it.

Youve said understeer is much easier to control than oversteer, but did I ever said oversteer is better? Typically slightly understeer is better than oversteer. However everyone has different taste and I dont know what your taste is and youre complaining about understeer, so I gave you the quick solution. (BTW my car is FF too)

  • I have an 06 mustang gt and was thinking about these tires just had a few questions tho if anyone can help me great ! Im moving to florida so I need good wet traction which i know these are good for but what about dry traction?

Will I be able to hook good with these tires in a RWD car on dry conditions? perhaps even at a track?

  • I've just bought this tyre today, so can't give you the exact feed back regarding about the performance. However I can tell you what I know.

Because of the nature of the tyre (made from rubber), it will always gives better traction on the dry condition than wet. So if the tyre is giving good wet traction, you should be expecting good performance on the dry condition also.

  • About on 'a track'. This tyre has been used on the '2005 24 Hours Nürburgring' for team 'D- Rights Racing with Toyo Tires'. Toyo finished first in the A2 class and took 50th place in the overall standings (out of 217 competitors).

Just don't forget this tyre is Street Performance tyre, not slick or semi race tyre. So don't push it too hard though... However this tyre has excellent cost performance and will not disappoints you for what you have paid. Cheers, Good luck.

  • Toyo Rules! Been using the Proxes T1R and it's the best tyre i've used so far!

  • I use teo toyo for 4 years already

drive 70,000 KM but still in good condition.

  • good toyo

  • I guess you mean the locking nuts themselves are worn. It would be a good idea to replace them while you can still remove them otherwise you might have to pay someone to drill them out. Would also be a nightmare if you had a puncture on the side of the road! You should be able to find good quality new ones with two nut keys though. Check the OEM replacements or the supplier of the wheels where you purchased them, just make sure they are the correct 'size' and 'lengh' before changing.

  • tomorrow i have toyo tr1..;-)in my 207 rc

  • I wanna buy this tires any suggestions and where i can get a good deal plz? :)

  • Amazing tires with extreme wet grip.

  • these tires sucks in the rain

  • please explain

  • Tried them on yesterday on the rain still brand new and very good wet grip and feeling. During heavy rain on both motorway and regular roads they behave nice. Especially for their price.

You have to keep in mind no tyre will grip as if it was dry in the rain, even the most expensive tyres. You have to watch your steering, acceleration and braking so that they match the conditions.

Only drawback: I found them to drop fast when o, the edge. If you don't pay attention you can be caught easily

  • Hi Victortrotska, You're spot on about road conditions and handling characteristics. However, these tyres like any other (especially high performance) will not perform anywhere near their potential if you've only had them on for one day! You shouldn't be pushing these tyres for a bare minimum of 200miles! This is the reason they dropped off quick for you on the edge. Once bedded in properly they are a very progressive tyre as the 350Z in this video demonstrates!

  • Yes minimum 200 miles but I was so eager to try 'em! I'm not a very patient guy, I should.

Still these tyres perform better than some upper budget tyres at least for my car (compact sport car).

  • Haha, I know excatly what you mean there :) Give em time they do get really sticky and provide good feedback. And also keep rotating front to back too so you get consistent and even tread wear, that way you can always change them as a set as well.

  • About that, I need to change my wheel locks. The marks are fadding but I can't find anyone selling them with a spare key tool. They all sell it only with one key tool. Any idea where I can find some? If so send me a PM please. Thanks.

  • oh i just got they tyres on mine about 30mins ago ill see how they do

  • I'll advocate! I put these on my G35 MT-6 replacing the Bridgestone Potenza OEM's. The rears are just worn out after about 18 months and 45k miles on 19's. The OEM's were shot at 10,000 and so noisy I couldn't hear the radio. I thought the handling was a bit squirmy and they felt bouncy especially new. Cornering not as flat as the OEM but also quiet until the last. The fronts will likely go another 15-20,000 and I drive HARD. for $100 per tire less than OEM I'll buy another set next week

  • Fantastic quality video from a top quality tyre company, lovely to look at as well giving some good unjargoned information.

  • Looking 4 a high to ultra-high performance all-season tire. How are the Toyo Proxes 4?

  • well i hade these on my neon srt-4 and i live in UAE wich is a very hot country and the tires had a really good traction even on high speed and for a long time. you can trust these tires.

  • just got a set of these last week. great tire for its price, low noise with a comfy ride but it doesnt stick as my old advans

  • i freakin love this video...i have these tires and they're amazing

  • thıs ıs the best tıre whıch you wıll buy
