I think it will be an interesting match between Stanford and PSU. PSU is stacked with one of the biggest setters in the country, along with two very good middles and two very good outside hitters and a strong OPP. They are extremely physical in every position, that is something that Stanford is going to struggle with.
Stanford on the other hand has the best middle in the country and arguably the best all around player in the country , so who knows what could happen. Im guessing PSU will win.
Penn State should roll through to a title. The only players in the final four who would maybe play in the front row for Penn State would be Akinradewo and Hooker. Hodge is playing better than anybody in the country right now, Wilson is one of the best middle blockers, Glass is the best setter still standing, Brown is on fire on the RS...then you have Fawcett/Harmotto who will both be 1st Team All-Americans. Penn State may lose a set to Nebraska or Stanford/Texas but they'll go back to back.

not surprised stanford lost... half their starters were more concerned about the 2008 Olympics than the college game. PSU on the other hand had only stanford on their minds. PSU wanted that win a lot more and it showed in the end

Stanford deserved it? I'm sorry, our girls were just plain better than theirs. Ours wanted it more. Yes, they choked away a 2-0 lead, but to come back and win that 5th game, with ALL the momentum going to Stanford, was quite a feat. They collected themselves and got it done.

I don't care if it happened awhile go, so I'll comment on this. If I remember, Penn St. went on a 7-0 run behind good defense in the fifth game, and allowed Stanford just one kill the entire game. They sure looked like a national champ team to me. Face it, your team didn't win, how about instead of being a sore loser, show some class and congratulate the team on their hard work?
