However, we can't say that price doesn't affect critique. It's just that other currencies are being taken into consideration. Rather than "was this a waste of my money?", one might ask "was this a waste of my time?".

I am an artist, and I have learned to not give a shit if someone hates my work, it's something that happens in life. You can learn from criticism and if You get hate mail, let them hate You. Hell, youtube "simpsons explain" where the simpsons just about contradict what Bart and Comic Book Guy says here. So no, this doesn't make much common sense at all. I love Max's videos, but this doesn't really make any sense.

I kind of see what you’re saying, but I think there’s a difference between flat out condemnation compared to constructive criticism. An animation takes hours of time and effort to make, and I think it’s cruel and demoralising when people make sweeping statements. Comments such as “not as good as the last one”, or “try harder next time” I personally find infuriating on Dress.mov or any cartoon which obviously has had a lot of work put into it.

Personally, this makes me think back to TF2 when the Mannconomy update was first released.
