And after he beat her he damed her soul making her an undead ranger and then with her forced help he destroyed the lands of her people and took from them the essence of there being the sunwell. And to the forsaken in general he used alot of undead as part of his legions. Some broke free from his mind control and now they fight him.

Blah, just to clear up a few things to some of the people saying forsaken are evil, if you did the quest for this, pretty much The big demon guy in UC, vrymalis, or something, betrays sylvanas, so the demon and this other apthecary whos addicted to blighting people kill a buncha ppl in UC, and refugees go to org, you end up takeing back org, blah blah blah, its a chain quest, just do it

@tanory07 WoW unfortunatly ruined there own storyline. If you played Wc3, you'd see that Sylvanas made the forsaken out of vengance against Arthas. It was her sole goal. The fact that WoW made her along with other Forsaken as "hero's that want to save the world" is completely fail.

On a side note, as much as I hate quoting WoW lore, the narrator said that Sylvanas made a treaty with the Horde out of "convenience".

I see many ppl don't know how this came to happen and how it unfolds. Here it goes. The combined forces of the Alliance and Horde attack the Wrathgate. In the Horde forces there are also Forsaken. But in the meantime the dreadlord Varimathras (Sylvanas butler or whatever) has it's own agenda. U see forsaken forces are split in 2 Sylvanas forsaken and Varimathras forsaken(most deathstalkers). So the Varimathras forsaken are the ones that betray both Horde and Alliance.

They presumably use the New Plague you help to develop in New Agamand (as a horde) a weapon created to destroy the Scourge(with the downside it kills everything else also). At the same time with this Varimathras also takes over the Undercity and u get the quest to retake it after. In the end Varimathras is killed and Sylvans is once again Queen of the Forsaken. After doing this quest Varimathras can no longer be seen in UC by the player. THE END!
