WOW. I am a huge Buffy fan, always have been, never a solo Angel fan, and now a huge Bones fan. After recently arguing with someone on here about whether or not SMG and David were ever really together, and now having read these comments, I realized us Buffy fans are a little psychotic when it comes to Bangel. WOW. Booth and Bones are just as maazing as buffy in my opinion, but def a diff type of love/attraction. I will always adore Bangel, but us Buffyverse people need to lighten up a little!
Buffy fans have always freaked me out a little bit for being a little to stubborn and not open to other possibilities. And yes, B&B are amazing, one of the best chemistry I've seen on screen and I've been through Maddie and David and Mulder and Scully. On top of that, the rest of the ensemble cast are very pleasing to watch too. I simply freaking LOVE Bones.
I just think that Buffy never forgot Angel and Angel never forgot Buffy.Their love were so pure that they shoose to live their own lives just to protect each other, and to save the world from evil.They could love others, and they did, but it never were so strong and so pure as the love they had for each other...I was so beautiful!
Did you even watched the show Angel? Cordelia changed a lot from a spoiled and shallow girl to become a courageous and caring woman. She was always there for Angel in his darkest hours and she brought out the best in him. Most importantly, she made him smile. Buffy hardly ever made him smile. Cordelia was a freaking great character and I can very much see why Angel fell for her.
That's quite a narrowed view of the these characters' relationship you have there. Cordy was mean to everyone, not just to Buffy. She was simply being Cordy but if you study her more carefully, you'll see that it was just a façade. Take her relationship with Xander for exemple. To the world, she was shallow and self-centered yet she dated Xander, a geek, and she even defended him. In the end, it was Xander who betrayed her and that says a lot about her true self.
At the beginning when Cordy first joined Angel in LA, he wasn't too found of her either because he remembered how she was in Sunnydale but the more he knew her, the more he saw something in her that was endearing and the more he respected her and even needed her. People change and they deserve a second chance. I see nothing wrong for him to fall for her, life is not always black and white.
Personally, I prefer Angel with Cordy. I find their relationship very interesting because it has multiple levels. They started as only acquaintances to being friends to finally fall in love. Too bad they never had a chance to be an item. I could see in Angel's eyes his distress and longing every time Cordy went missing or was in trouble. He never could think straight in those situations. Even with Buffy, Angel was never that lost. Buffy was like his first love but Cordy was his heart and soul.
you must be kidding. you can't say that angel loves cordelia more than buffy...no way! Not only is Buffy his first love, she is also his eternal love. She's the one who makes him lose his soul, the one he always goes back to. it's not over between them...it will never be. they don't end up together, buffy says "I love you" to spike, but it doesn't mean that she doesn't love angel, because THEY were meant to buffy. they might have to wait for years, but bangel will never die.
Bangel is an adolescent love. Young people always see things out of proportion and Bangel is that type of love, it looks more dramatic than it really is. Cangel on the other hand is a more mature love, the type of love that adults experience, albeit in a fantasy world.

You are intitlied to believe what you want to believe about the Buffy/Angel/cordy relationships but having heard from the mouths of SMG and DB who they believe was Buffy and Angel's true love well I know I am a happy person :-)
I'm happy you're happy :-). I know Joss Whedon favours Bangel too and I think they're all wrong LOL. I just see what I saw on screen and that's how I interpret the relationships. Oh well, at least I have Bones to look forward to because that's my main interest. I watched Buffy and Angel AFTER I became a fan of Bones. Maybe that's why my views differ from most Buffy fans.
I think you'll find that alot of Buffy fans also agree with your regarding Angel/cordy and Buffy/spike so the split of fans would probably be closer to 50/50.

My views might have been different depending at what age I started to watch Buffy. I only started to watch it this past summer at an adult age. If I had watched it when I was younger, my views might have been different.

There's also the fact that I don't like to watch mushy romance because I find it too forceful and that's how I see Bangel. I have a hard time believing that a 200+ year-old guy can fall for a teenager. And I tend to prefer relationships that started as friendship. I like that Cordy and Angel grew a lot together. They were very different from season one to season four.
I don't really think it depends on how old you are when you watch it IMO. I watched it when it first came out and loved it then and many many years later now at the old age that I am I STILL love them as a couple. I have always been into 'mushy' romances and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. That is the kind of person I am. I don't know you as a person but you certainly don't come across as someone who would have ever been into that. I like to believe in love at first sight
You are right of course,each to their own. You either get it or you don't. I've watch a bit of Bones and have found there relationship quite intersting but not enough for me to activately watch every episode or have/get the DVDs of the show. They have great chemistry but it doen't match for me what his character and Buffy had on the show. I believe in them being soulmates I don't think of his character in Bones in that way booth. Yeah I know I'm being mushy and slushy (LOL) That's just me...
May I suggest you watch Bones from the beginning? When I first tried Bones, I did not like it very much and even after a few episodes it did not peak my interest until I decided to start from the pilot. About the fourth or fifth episodes, I was hooked big time. Bones' and Booth's relationship is very different from Bangel because the nature of the shows are so different that they're not comparable.
I'm a sucker for couples with sexual tensions. I'm a huge fan of shows with these types of couples like Moonlighting, The X-Files and now Bones. I must say that Bones is the most satisfying so far, I absolutely love it.

cordy and angel relationship never did it with me on ANGEL, coz of buffy. In Angel the fred/Gunn/Wesley triangle was much better love story on Angel. And even most of the hardcore fans of the ANGEL show would agree with me on this. Infact angel relationshipwith Darla was good and even kate.

I know this is an old comment, but I just have to point out on thing. Sure that Cangel have grown out of a friendship, but one thing always stuck out at me. In season 4 of Angel, he had his soul sucked out mystically. His mind thought up of Cordy and him doing it, but right at the moment he lost his soul, he actually said 'Buffy.' If that's teen love, then I want to see real love. Plus Buffy stated in season 7 that Angel was the one thing she will always love with all her heart. Still teen love?
i agree. she loved spike but she was in love with angel. Just because Angel didn't live a hermit life after buffy doesnt mean he didnt love her the most. Plus, Angel is 240, so hes not exactly an adolescent.
Angel is obviously not an adolescent but Buffy was and that reflects on their relationship. I have no doubt also that Buffy was the love of Angel's life then but I believe that people can move on beyond the "great" love. My point is the Bangel and the Cangel relationships are of different nature and I do not believe that Bangel is necessarily more important nor more satisfactory.
i totally agree with you... and if you remember correctly in "The girl in Question" with is 2 episodes before the series finale angel tells spike that he and buffy had a "forever love" this took place after he "loved" cordy. so in my opinion regardless of whether or not he truly loved cordy or not his heart and soul belong and would always belong to buffy

Hm, I don't think Buffy ever really hated Cordelia. Besides, Cordelia grew a lot since Buffy knew her. And don't forget that at the same time Angel was falling for Cordy, Buffy was boning Spike, who Angel hated faaaar more than Buffy ever "hated" Cordelia and who was a much more terrible person than Cordelia ever was. Not that Buffy wouldn't have a snarky comment or two at finding out about C/A, but it's not like it's some huge betrayal, especially when compared to the horror of Spuffy.

hell yeah i didnt like that cordy and angel had a thing...cuz it just didnt make sense cuz of buffy season one cordy was in LOVEE with angel and he blew her off so it didnt connect with me.

WOW. I am a huge Buffy fan, always have been, never a solo Angel fan, and now a huge Bones fan. After recently arguing with someone on here about whether or not SMG and David were ever really together, and now having read these comments, I realized us Buffy fans are a little psychotic when it comes to Bangel. WOW. Booth and Bones are just as maazing as buffy in my opinion, but def a diff type of love/attraction. I will always adore Bangel, but us Buffyverse people need to lighten up a little!

Buffy fans have always freaked me out a little bit for being a little to stubborn and not open to other possibilities. And yes, B&B are amazing, one of the best chemistry I've seen on screen and I've been through Maddie and David and Mulder and Scully. On top of that, the rest of the ensemble cast are very pleasing to watch too. I simply freaking LOVE Bones.

I just think that Buffy never forgot Angel and Angel never forgot Buffy.Their love were so pure that they shoose to live their own lives just to protect each other, and to save the world from evil.They could love others, and they did, but it never were so strong and so pure as the love they had for each other...I was so beautiful!

Did you even watched the show Angel? Cordelia changed a lot from a spoiled and shallow girl to become a courageous and caring woman. She was always there for Angel in his darkest hours and she brought out the best in him. Most importantly, she made him smile. Buffy hardly ever made him smile. Cordelia was a freaking great character and I can very much see why Angel fell for her.

That's quite a narrowed view of the these characters' relationship you have there. Cordy was mean to everyone, not just to Buffy. She was simply being Cordy but if you study her more carefully, you'll see that it was just a façade. Take her relationship with Xander for exemple. To the world, she was shallow and self-centered yet she dated Xander, a geek, and she even defended him. In the end, it was Xander who betrayed her and that says a lot about her true self.

At the beginning when Cordy first joined Angel in LA, he wasn't too found of her either because he remembered how she was in Sunnydale but the more he knew her, the more he saw something in her that was endearing and the more he respected her and even needed her. People change and they deserve a second chance. I see nothing wrong for him to fall for her, life is not always black and white.

Personally, I prefer Angel with Cordy. I find their relationship very interesting because it has multiple levels. They started as only acquaintances to being friends to finally fall in love. Too bad they never had a chance to be an item. I could see in Angel's eyes his distress and longing every time Cordy went missing or was in trouble. He never could think straight in those situations. Even with Buffy, Angel was never that lost. Buffy was like his first love but Cordy was his heart and soul.

you must be kidding. you can't say that angel loves cordelia more than buffy...no way! Not only is Buffy his first love, she is also his eternal love. She's the one who makes him lose his soul, the one he always goes back to. it's not over between them...it will never be. they don't end up together, buffy says "I love you" to spike, but it doesn't mean that she doesn't love angel, because THEY were meant to buffy. they might have to wait for years, but bangel will never die.

Bangel is an adolescent love. Young people always see things out of proportion and Bangel is that type of love, it looks more dramatic than it really is. Cangel on the other hand is a more mature love, the type of love that adults experience, albeit in a fantasy world.

You are intitlied to believe what you want to believe about the Buffy/Angel/cordy relationships but having heard from the mouths of SMG and DB who they believe was Buffy and Angel's true love well I know I am a happy person :-)

I'm happy you're happy :-). I know Joss Whedon favours Bangel too and I think they're all wrong LOL. I just see what I saw on screen and that's how I interpret the relationships. Oh well, at least I have Bones to look forward to because that's my main interest. I watched Buffy and Angel AFTER I became a fan of Bones. Maybe that's why my views differ from most Buffy fans.

I think you'll find that alot of Buffy fans also agree with your regarding Angel/cordy and Buffy/spike so the split of fans would probably be closer to 50/50.

My views might have been different depending at what age I started to watch Buffy. I only started to watch it this past summer at an adult age. If I had watched it when I was younger, my views might have been different.

There's also the fact that I don't like to watch mushy romance because I find it too forceful and that's how I see Bangel. I have a hard time believing that a 200+ year-old guy can fall for a teenager. And I tend to prefer relationships that started as friendship. I like that Cordy and Angel grew a lot together. They were very different from season one to season four.

I don't really think it depends on how old you are when you watch it IMO. I watched it when it first came out and loved it then and many many years later now at the old age that I am I STILL love them as a couple. I have always been into 'mushy' romances and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. That is the kind of person I am. I don't know you as a person but you certainly don't come across as someone who would have ever been into that. I like to believe in love at first sight

You are right of course,each to their own. You either get it or you don't. I've watch a bit of Bones and have found there relationship quite intersting but not enough for me to activately watch every episode or have/get the DVDs of the show. They have great chemistry but it doen't match for me what his character and Buffy had on the show. I believe in them being soulmates I don't think of his character in Bones in that way booth. Yeah I know I'm being mushy and slushy (LOL) That's just me...

May I suggest you watch Bones from the beginning? When I first tried Bones, I did not like it very much and even after a few episodes it did not peak my interest until I decided to start from the pilot. About the fourth or fifth episodes, I was hooked big time. Bones' and Booth's relationship is very different from Bangel because the nature of the shows are so different that they're not comparable.

I'm a sucker for couples with sexual tensions. I'm a huge fan of shows with these types of couples like Moonlighting, The X-Files and now Bones. I must say that Bones is the most satisfying so far, I absolutely love it.

cordy and angel relationship never did it with me on ANGEL, coz of buffy. In Angel the fred/Gunn/Wesley triangle was much better love story on Angel. And even most of the hardcore fans of the ANGEL show would agree with me on this. Infact angel relationshipwith Darla was good and even kate.
But im A big Angel/buffy fan
Cordelia should have been more BFF with Angel like the relationship between clark & chloe on smallville, and it was like that on angel season 2 and beginning of season 3 on angel

I know this is an old comment, but I just have to point out on thing. Sure that Cangel have grown out of a friendship, but one thing always stuck out at me. In season 4 of Angel, he had his soul sucked out mystically. His mind thought up of Cordy and him doing it, but right at the moment he lost his soul, he actually said 'Buffy.' If that's teen love, then I want to see real love. Plus Buffy stated in season 7 that Angel was the one thing she will always love with all her heart. Still teen love?

i agree. she loved spike but she was in love with angel. Just because Angel didn't live a hermit life after buffy doesnt mean he didnt love her the most. Plus, Angel is 240, so hes not exactly an adolescent.

Angel is obviously not an adolescent but Buffy was and that reflects on their relationship. I have no doubt also that Buffy was the love of Angel's life then but I believe that people can move on beyond the "great" love. My point is the Bangel and the Cangel relationships are of different nature and I do not believe that Bangel is necessarily more important nor more satisfactory.

i totally agree with you... and if you remember correctly in "The girl in Question" with is 2 episodes before the series finale angel tells spike that he and buffy had a "forever love" this took place after he "loved" cordy. so in my opinion regardless of whether or not he truly loved cordy or not his heart and soul belong and would always belong to buffy

Hm, I don't think Buffy ever really hated Cordelia. Besides, Cordelia grew a lot since Buffy knew her. And don't forget that at the same time Angel was falling for Cordy, Buffy was boning Spike, who Angel hated faaaar more than Buffy ever "hated" Cordelia and who was a much more terrible person than Cordelia ever was. Not that Buffy wouldn't have a snarky comment or two at finding out about C/A, but it's not like it's some huge betrayal, especially when compared to the horror of Spuffy.

she def had a crush on him, him not so much, he probably saw her as a lil sister cuz the way he would look at her was just like that professionally, even the staff members said that, david would act all cute and sweet and protective over sarah, but they said with charisma he would be all cute, shy, trying not to look like an idiot, and people would always see them flirting or talking, and always laughing together and this was when he was on buffy, i thought he and cc didnt have alot of scenes
