Great move, but no miracle.....they had little anchor points in their heels which, when they stepped onto that specific place on stage, attached to hooks, and allowed them to make that move. That was revealed a few days after MJ passed, but I don't think it was a big secret beforehand.

Yeah I know. But if you look closely at the sequence, right before the move, that part of the stage where MJ and the dancers are darkens for several seconds. During that time, they're positioning themselves over the hooks. It's a great visual and a great idea though, great move in the end.
