  • Great job!! :)

  • So christ should stop falling then? Bad joke.

    Im not a christian

I think god punishes I really do

Id rather stop and no that if he cant control human im free at wil because this world is a friggin evil one if you know enough.

If he wont control he is not needed.

Just an opinion I mean no offence.

    Great song :)

    What is truth

  • @ilovejamesandmoney i've thought about that a lot too. i am chrsitian and in my opinion god doesnt punish. a lot of people forget that the devil leads us to sin and that sin hurts us. the world is an evil place, but only because the devil is breaking through. there is a battle but the battle is already won :) good to hear your opinion, i hope you feel the same about mine

Id rather stop will his bullshit.

  • Nice job you certainly were allowing yourself to be a tool for God in creating this.

  • I love hearing the guitar, but I personally think; when praising God, it should be done by our voices, not through instruments.

  • I saw this live about a year ago and it was absolutely amazing! It was the same day my dad was in a severe car accident and we were unsure if he was going to live. This song brought me great peace and assurance that christ in fact overcame death and that he is greater than our greatest trials and storms. "oh death where is your sting? Oh hell where is your victory?" Death had no victory over my dad that day. Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ who is risen!

  • Thank you for posting this video, and Thank God for working through you to make it! It was wonderful and a great end to my Easter day :) God bless

  • To Catholics and Orthodox and to Christians everywhere, Our Lord is Risen! Verily, He is Risen!

  • best part is

oh death where is your sting

oh hell where is your victory

  • That was great! Thank you!

  • Attend the midnight Easter service of an Eastern Orthodox Church and you will hear the words of this song. "Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and upon those in the tombs bestowing life" is where Matt took these words as he explains in an interview. Also, "Oh, death, where is your sting? Oh, hell, where is your victory" is scriptural but also was included in a sermon by St. John Chrysostom which is also read during that service.

  • beautiful (:

  • I went to a convention this weekend and we sang this song almost every session. Every time it got to the bridge, I was in tears or almost in tears. And I'm a guy. I could barely stand. The third time we sang the song, I couldn't help myself but to yell at the top of my lungs "He's alive!!." The next session, my voice was nearly gone. But it didn't matter, when the bridge came around again I was up in the front, screaming those lyrics once again. This song is so amazing and so moving :)

  • oh man, the bridge and last chorus of this song gets me every time! I'm not Catholic, but I really like the incorporation of the Exsultet in this video. Also, the passage at the end from 1 Corinthians really fits well. Great job, and thanks for blessing the rest of us with this!

  • Inspiring.

  • one of my favorite songs....love it...

  • Thanks for a great video. Our God is certainly not dead He's alive, HE IS ALIVE!!!!!

  • Christ is truly risen.

  • LOVE and have used this video often for our youth group; thank you so much for this meditation :) We would also LOVE to have a similar video meditation for (tomorrow night's! :) youth group, but to another of Matt Maher's songs, "Alive Again." ANYONE know where to find something like that???

    Thanks!!! God bless

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! God Bless you =))

  • Im singing this song in worship on sunday! :) Im leading it!!!

  • I love how you used the song for your video, but where did you retrieve the beginning quote? I'm not familiar with it.

I love how you used different portrayals of Jesus throughout Jesus in art...simply beautiful and admiring.

  • @buffstuf2 the beginning quote is the translation of the Latin prayer that is prayed every Catholic Easter vigil Mass. Oh man...it's so sweeeet :)

Thank you for the compliments :)

  • Great Job with this video! May the peace of Christ be with you...Amen

  • AHH! its Steubenville!!!!! aka..pretty much the most amazing place ever!!

  • EXCELLENT video!!!!! I'm going to use it in my high school theology class. This will give great glory to God - thanks for putting it together!!!

  • @brtimothyop Oh man, that is so great!! I want to be a high school theology teacher, and I plan to make all sorts of these :) Praise God!!

  • @AdJesumPerMaria CHRIST IS RISEN!!! I was wondering...Maher credited the Paschal Sermon of St. John Chrysostom for his inspiration. Did you consider using the text from that ancient sermon from 1700 years ago? It is read at every Pascha (Easter) service in every Orthodox Christian Church all over the world.been that way for 1700 years.

If you want the text to the sermon --

    search "Pashcal Sermon"

    at oca.org

    God Bless +
