I used to play Tomb Raider hundreds of hours (if not thousands...).

I think Angelina Jolie is NOT like Lara, and was never. It was a serious mistake to choose her for the role in the Tomb Raider movies.

She has too much emotion, and she doesn't look like a 'pop a cap in his ass at the first sign of annoyance' type. She looks like she's putting that face on purposely. Doesn't hide it well.
