We just had snow last week for a couple days straight, and where I am in the US it's rare to snow that heavily -- This was right after Rodger passed away, so I had the same coincidental feelings.
Strangely enough lots of little things, such as the Tokyo snow videos I've seen, have been occurring this past week that show reminders of Rodger.....and to be honest, they make me feel happier.
Where do you usually stay in Kyoto? I'm thinking of making the trip down there for a couple days while I'm in Japan, but have no idea where to stay. I'll be in Tokyo from March 25 to April 13.
I often go the lowroad and crash at a manga kissa - internet cafe. You're going during Cherry Blossom season so you might find hotels a bit full. A cheap decent hotel chain that I stay in to live the somewhat highlife is Toyoko Inn. Rooms are about $45-$60.
Hey. Snowed again Wednesday night while you were away.

I can't I really enjoy snow.
The roads get all messed up.
Let it snow in the mountains where it belongs.

I know this may sound dum,but have you visited the Torii Gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto?

several times. The best time to go is in the evening when there are few people. It has a eerie feel to it

Looking at the sidebar... I had similar thoughts today. Funny thing, I don't much believe in coincidence.
