I love Shirley's approach - her work appeals to my love of the quirky and naive and yet it is executed so well. Please please though TOWNHOUSEFILMS, doesn't Shirley deserve to have 'truly' spelt correctly in your first sentence?

Love this DVD and Shirely's earlier one and her 2 books. And I am eagerly awaiting her new book - supposed to be published in early 2012.

I sure wish she would make a couple more DVDs !!!! It's so helpful to actually see Shirley paint. I have watched the 2 existing DVDs a hundred times... at least !!! Great artist... great teacher... great attitude.. We need more DVDs !!! Please ???

Thank you for this!  I spend much of my time worrying that I'm wasting paper and that, if I don't get it right the first time, I've not accomplished anything. I love to paint... just started a few months ago, and I see that I take it too seriously for much of the time.

Hit the paper, and don't worry. If you use the right paper, it will be made from rag. Not trees...
