@josh0206 Matt Clare. He is a bench player for Tampa Bay. He was able to play in this one because Tampa Bay has been riddled with injuries (see my comment below, we had 6 injuries on our 22 man roster going into this game).

As ChamCarforlife said, this is not an MLS team. The GK making the second half saves is on loan from an MLS team (Houston). It's more or less a semi-pro team with a couple of full pros mixed in (think Ebbsfleet United).
But hell this happens in England in the FA Cup so...

Still hard to imagine what we would be like with Yendry Diaz, Takuya Yamada, Chad Burt, Tsyuoshi Yoshitake, Jeremy Christie, Daryl Sattler all healthy. Instead we have David Hayes (an assistant coach), Shane Hill (coach's son who is really bad), Matt Clare (the goal scorer in this game, he's only played in a handfull of games this year), Evan Newton (FCTB debut), and a trialist named Goodluck. Either Bolton is THAT bad, or American clubs are catching up. Guess we will see come the Houston game.

@RowdiesFan1 no doubt the mls teams are not as bad as everyone makes out, but as far as friendlies go any team can win on the day. not easy for any side to go to america and play against the competitive teams that have quality despite what others think:P

I know this is only a friendly but we are so so shit. Typical Bolton defending, a man completely unmarked in the box! Probably Steinsson stood on the other side of the pitch as usual.
