I have my kayak ready and there will be a lot of fans out there with me for the NLCS game at AT&T park. All the regular kayakers (the Bonds Navy) will be in McCovey Cove and so many others. Nothing like a playoff game in the Cove. I was lucky to grab the last two splash hits, #'s 54 and 55, but it will a lot harder to grab a Giants playoff HR. The only Giants playoff HR ever to reach McCovey Cove was hit by Barry Bonds in game three of the the NLCS in 2003.
If you spend enough time in McCovey Cove, you will get lucky. I grabbed David Ortiz's (RedSox) 333rd career HR their on June 27th and Ike Davis's HR (Mets) their a week ago. David now has 14 HR's so far this year which is good for the rookie.
@eluckforever I went there only twice cause I live in Los Angeles. I went there for a band trip competition. I graduated from that school and now I probably will not go back there :( I got a ball from a white sox player before the game two years ago though
Ryan was nice enough to sign his HR ball for me as he drove into the Giants players parking lot one day. He hit 3 HR's into McCovey Cove during his career, more than any other player except Barry Bonds who hit 35!
go dodgers. giants put all of their hope in guys like ryan klesko and end up last in the division. come talk to me when you guys actually win a world series!
Have fun out there Tuesday and Wed. Hopefully more Giants than Phillies HRs

Klesko was a waste of space, the epitome of what the Giants have done wrong since 2004. Now if we can get Vizquel out of the lineup...

I agree, Klesko was always a Giants killer no matter what.
