  • ongelooflijk prachtig!!!!!Deze muziek werd gespeeld toen princess Diana trouwde!! Doet de tranen in mijn ogen komen.

  • Przepiękne ; ] ..........

  • Sempre bello ascoltare questo brano, anche in questa esecuzione, ben espressa!

  • Maurice <3

  • Thank you for the biographical information. I had previously known nothing of Clarke's personal life. It is horrible that someone with something great in their life threw it away over something unimportant. His grave error serves to remind me of higher things so easily blocked by the emotional. Though I would not consider suicide; depression makes us as worthless as the dead.

  • Heavenful music!

    Irma-Maria

  • This is magnificent. Thank you.

  • wow that was good...holy crap he's good

  • First-rate trumpeter!

  • In most Lutheran churches, the Wagner piece is not permitted. I customarily play this as the general processional; Händel's "Tochter des Sion, freue dich," as the bridal processional, Haydn's "St. Anthony Chorale" as the recessional, and the first movement of a Haydn sonata as the postlude.

  • I think I just had an eargasm

  • Wonderful !

  • When I was married, My Future wife came down the isle with this song. What a great song. We had pipe organ ans a trumpet as well.

  • Excellent!

  • We choose this for our wedding march way along with Ode to Joy for the bridal march and Air on a G string whilst we signed the register back in 1975.

  • maurice andre what a talented guy

  • The adaptation of Bach, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, is an excellent entrance march.

  • Is this an Original Version by Clarke? or the other Version by somone else? Please answer me, i need this piece for my School Orchestra... Thanks Bro... :)

  • @RyanIKJ Yes this is an original version by Clarke.

  • Jeremiah Clarke, the great English baroque...and Andre a master of the trumpet !

  • marvellous!

  • Speechless!!!!

  • This is GLORIOUS! Simply GLORIOUS! An exquisite and majestic piece of music, never heard anything like it! 5 stars!!

  • merveilleux

  • BRAVO!

  • Precioso !!!!! Wonderful !!!!!!!

  • A bit good ain't they

  • Long live His Majesty Crown Prince Fredrick ..the future King of Denmark

  • now ,this is how u surpose to play it if u dont have trumpets on yur organ, get a trumpet man to make this type of music succesful with u.

  • Purcell wrote a trumpet voluntary as well. there are two different ones.

  • veramente fantastico l ho aggiunto ai miei preferiti lucy

  • veramente fantastico lucy

  • OMG... this is just FANTASTIC.

    Bravo!!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • This was played at my wedding--but I like it anyway.

  • This baroque masterpiece played a very dramatical role in one of my former lives ...

  • "A violent and hopeless passion for a very beautiful lady of a rank superior to his own" caused him to commit suicide. Before shooting himself, he considered hanging and drowning as options, so to decide his fate, he tossed a coin—however the coin landed in the mud on its side. Instead of consoling himself, he chose the third method of death, and performed the deed in the cathedral churchyard."

  • I WILL HAVE THIS PLAYED AT MY WEDDING....won't get married if otherwise =P

  • simply stunning

  • Hermoso! sublime! esta es la mejor version y la catedral de St.Paul magnifica joya de la arquitectura!

  • E' stata la mia marcia nuziale..............non dimenticherò mai questa splendida melodia!!!

  • Beautiful. Takes me back to Easter in St. Paul's five years ago. Though this is titled "Trumpet Voluntary," it is entirely played on organ - using the "trumpet" stops. The pipe organ is a magnificent instrument!!

  • Simply Breathtaking. The trumpet is so clear and precise. The organ is, simply put, quite marvelous as well.

  • who is playing this??(the trumpet part). If I listen to it I think it's Maurice Andre. Is that correct?

  • Yes, you are correct.

  • @McFlooow How do you identify just by listening? I think that's really interesting. Is it through the style/tempo etc?

  • @haaatz yea i also think that he has a unique tone, his own style that could be distinguingshed.

  • I think too. It is Maurice Andree.

  • Best freaking trumpet part ever

wish i could play like that

  • both organist & trumpet player are state of the art!

never heard something like it before

  • Recorded in St Paul's Cathedral. The Organist is using mostly the Baroque North Choir Division with its translucent principal chorus. Overall you're not going to get anything better than this!

  • magnificent music!

  • ...ahhhh...maurice andrè is playing...very, very nice.

  • It is Clarke, this has been a standing question between me and my friend and it is indeed J. Clarke

  • I checked... It is Clarke.

  • Thanks, I have been erroneously attributing this marvelous music to Purcell. I play it for nearly every wedding, with a few exceptions of those who insist on that dreadful Wagner Bridal March.

  • I think it IS by Purcell and the Clarke version is called "Price of Denmark's March" but I'm not quite sure.

  • @accousticdecay It's incredibly naff to have Wagners Bridal March at a Wedding, it was okay 100 years ago when it was still fresh but now... Oh good grief - CRINGE.

  • @accousticdecay there are two trumpet voluntary pieces. One by Purcell , one by Clarke. They are a bit different. lots of ppl get them confused. ;)
