i play viola too. this piece drives everyone nuts. the conductor says he's only going to choose the solo player on the concert day so everyone has to practice!!! great playing there! :)

the conert master in first viola in my orchestra are sisters, so on the day before halloween on of em put a mask on and switched places and tried playing it and when we all stopped they stood up laughed took their masks off and switched back xD

nice. yeah, i play violin too, but i have only just started! lol. it's pretty fun, and it's so different to piano. (i am still playing piano, grade 5) not really used to it, but should soon be. got any tips for me??? (i am using the suzuki book btw.) thanks!

What tips would you have in mind? Anything specific? I'm a cellist, but I've been around violin so long since my sister is a violinist, and I've been in countless master classes to know some techniques.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad that you didn't say that you could play this at the 5th grade as a beginning violinist... because that would make my self esteem jump off a cliff.

Anyways, keep playing and practicing. Work towards your goals whatever they may be.
