camera on this is ok for taking pictures in a pub on anite out etc,just use the touch screen button for taking pictures in low lite,,,had a c905 and the picture quality in low lite was rubbish .

Have a Legend and 3GS 32 currently I then may sell. Just a shame that the price is so high in DK for a iPhone 4 - in other countries its cheaper and without simlock.

@s7yler this phone was nothing special from the start considering how much you would have paid for it at the time, shitty camera that blurs out text and distorts on a halfway zoom, video playback lags out of sync with the audio and loading is too slow.

@s7yler Also when this phone hit the market, Samsung had nothing compared to it, the Samsung phones at that time was even more behind everything else, they had max 2mp kamera models at that time. Good for you that you today can pick a new Samsung but dont compare it with this old SE model.

@s7yler Dude, calm down! I just wasn't impressed with the video quality while recording that's the only flaw I found with the camera, it didn't record mp4's at a higher resolution than 320x240, it only took jpeg's (pics) at 5mp.

Back then £300 was alot of money to spend on a pay-as-you go phone so I personally thought it could've been better, unless mine was faulty

but we're allowed to have opinions you know! I wasn't comparing the k850i to any of the gadgets we have today. k? leave it at that.

@3headedHelldog That is OK you can have your opinion. But you criticize things that weren't normal back then in 2006 when this phone came out. Almost no other phone (only the N95 could record in MP4). Also what do you mean with "it only took jpeg's (pics) at 5mp"?? Back in 2006 5mp was the higest a phone could take, and all only took them in jpeg. Still it sounds like you are comparing the phone with todays phones. K850 is from 2006, we speak 2010 now. The phone is over 4 years now.

ok dude, sorry for commenting then. You're right, but I didn't write my previous comment to diss the phone. SE has different types of phones to fit everyone's needs. I almost only use my phone to listen to music, I don't take pictures often with it, altough it has 3,2 MP camera [no autofocus,and no flash light] which makes nice pictures. Different people, different needs. I've never tried a CyberShot phone, I take pictures with my digital camera, but maybe once i'll buy a C series phone.

I want to get a new phone too. Considering about taking this one or C901 which unfortunately can't seem to find around :( Also i would suggest not taking the C902. It has smaller display, no Xenox flash, the touch buttons are kinda waisting display space. All other options are same. If you need better cam go for K850, the 4GBs it has are enough or C901 or C905 if money is not a prob.

I would recommend to get the C905 instead now, this one is getting old. But to give you some answers, yes you can apply themes and custom ringtones, it doesnt have to be unlocked for that.

I think this phone is awesome, it's ideal for going in vacation, superb battery life and a really good camera, it was ahead of it's time :) only thing missing is WiFi but with a cheap 3G plan you can get over it.

For a picture taken with 2592x1944 it takes about 1400-1500 KB on the card or phone. But you can just change it to a lower megapixel resolution if you want to save space.

No after you have used the phone 1-2 weeks, then its pretty normal and easy to use I think. K850i contains the Music Player 3.0 and is kind of the same as in Walkman phones and is especially good with earbuds.

no not on the frontscreen, but a little under the cameracover on the back if you look closely in strong sunlight, but u cant see it on pictures. Only way to get around this, is to keep it a dustfree place all the time or take of the cover and remove the small particles. I think it gets in from the speaker opening.
