je me souviens: j'avais 19ans, j'étais dans les paddocks ce jour-là juste au-dessus du stand Ferrari. Les hauts-parleurs du circuit annonçaient un grave accident sans annoncer l'écurie. Et puis, l'équipe italienne a clos les volets métalliques du stand et a quitté les lieux. Le soir, à la télé, j'ai vu les images. C'était très triste...

Merci pour la vidéo NARB57. Gilles a été mon héros d'enfance. Il est mort quand j'avais six ans. Il demeure pour moi un héros, un modèle. J'ai encore la gorge noué quand je le voit à l'œuvre. Salut Gilles !

Villeneuve was a driver with amazing car control, and brilliance, a very innovative driver in his forms of getting himself out of trouble whenever he exceeded the grip of the car, but .. like other great drivers who did not live up to their talent, he switched off the brain whenever he put on the helmet.. so many pointless accidents, and DNF's... A bit more patience and he would have won more races and a few championships..

Une vidéo absolument remarquable, merci Narb57. C'est très triste d'avoir perdu Gilles, si spontané et modeste dans ses interviews, diabolique d'adresse et d'envie sur la piste. Il aurait pu être titré en 79, en 82 et sans doute encore après. J'aurais aussi adoré le voir quand le fiston Jacques a brillé à son tour.

Je vis au Québec et je suis fière de Gilles Villeneuve. Dommage qu'il n'ait réalisé son rêve, celui de courir encore à 40 ans, le pauvre est mort à l'âge de 32 ans et c'est très jeune. Bravo pour la vidéo, ce furent des paroles très émouvantes vers la fin du film quand il parlait de sa future carrière 15 ans plus tard.......
