  • This is my dream dog! Love that they're cool with apartments (give 'em proper exercise though)! The only drawback is they only live 8-10 years! That breaks my heart!!!

  • whats with the butt in the face on the sofa lol

  • How the hell would you keep a bull mastif in an apartment? Even if the're not very active...

  • @88rainbowmilkshake88 why not? if all they want to do is lay around most of the day an apartment can do that just fine. they require a big bed (some say a spare couch or loveseat is the best, just get a ratty one free off craigslist) and big crate but it's very doable.

  • @jomomma193

I still can't really picture this, haha, but i guess it's ok, as long as you walk it often.

  • Giant pugs- Ha

  • 0:34 so adorable!!

  • My friend had such a dog. They are really very calm and friendly.

  • do a french mastiff there dogs are ugly french mastiffs with a red mask are adorable

  • someone please tell me, generaly how long does it take for a bullmastiff to gain max hight?

    thank you..!

  • @1991050420222 its takes it 1.5 years to reach its height and 3 year to completly build its muscles

  • my neighbor has a bull mastiff. I WUB HER!!! :D she is super great with kids. a real loving dog. :)

  • I dont like original English bulldogs at all, but bullmastiff has something special.. Maybe i will have one someday :-)

  • I swear most dogs in the world are bred in the UK???? Proud to be British!, My neighbour has a bullmastiff

  • @liukin95 sadly, most are banned in the UK now too, Nanny State and all

  • It looks like a giant pug!

  • Whhhhaaaatttt

  • I've got a Bullmastiff/Boxer/APBT. Cutest and most badass looking dog ever. Just check out my videos.

  • Ugly shit.

  • I know a BullMastiff named Athena.

  • "pin their prey down"? This woman should not be commenting on this breed.

  • @bergersdog ever seen sandlot?

  • @failtolawl No, and I didn't want to seem harsh in my earlier comments. Its just that the "Dogs 101" caters to the "suburbanites" so much and my belief is to let working breeds remain working breeds. Many of these folks talk about "show lines", this means nothing. I would bet that lady has little or no shutzhund experience. Sorry to seem "jaded" but that is the way I feel.

  • i wishd id had some day 7 + 0-7 bullmastiffs

  • My mom's King Charles Cavalier chases reflections from the sun all day. When my BM is around she just watches him go while she lays on her sofa.

  • They don't have to wear a muzzle , am I right ? I mean, their good with children :)

  • @missally369 any dog can be good with kids.. if its raised around children

  • @mason1291 yes i'm absolutly sure about that, but maybe its possible that he does it accidentally

  • SO FREAKIN CUTE! <33

  • GIGANT PUG!

  • I can attest to the points in this vid. My boy would just lay in the sun in a puddle of drool, all day if he could. When other dogs want to play, he literally just rolls over.

  • Can a bullmastiff be an outside dog if it still gets lots of attention? what about an English mastiff?

  • Check my bully vids!

  • This has got to be the most cuddly dog breed EVER. I miss mine so much D: D:

  • Gentle Giants? HA! More Like Giant Pug! :D Hehe It's My Big Overgrown Pug :3

  • @crystaly3 u are right they look like giant pugs :D

  • OMG I ejaculated so hard when looking at those saggy dog tits in the first 5 seconds

  • "despite their size and tough look" WHAT TOUGH LOOK lol

  • i used to have a bullmastiff, ever since she was a puppy. They're very cuddly dogs and very loving. But they slobber EVERYWHERE. But if you're looking for a dog that cuddles and loves you at night, a bullmastiff is the dog for you :)

  • i totally want one, Im going to get some do my research and hopefully rescue a younger one

  • pugs come from the english bulldog (not a mastiff) more breeds (that arent mastiffs) but dont get me wrong i love pugs and all but they r the rfarthest thing from mastiffs.....

  • @slugbug73 is that what the dutch mastiff is ?

  • @DogSoldier011 I can tell you love dogs but don't know much I'll put it a little easier so you can understand what pug lover slugbug73 means, he says the pugs originate from the english bulldog, but surprisingly he forgot that the english bulldogs originate from the mastiff, the pug originates really from both.

  • @Brotherclips i already know that :p But thanx :D

  • @DogSoldier011 oh ok anytime friend ^_^

  • @slugbug73 no sadly they are not far from the mastiff, remember the pug is related the english bulldog, french bulldog, american bulldog, and bulldog, which are close relative to the mastiffs, also because of their wrinkles on their face (NO THE CHOW CHOW DOES NOT COUNT!)

  • oh and a pug is NOT a mastiff btws

  • @slugbug73 yeah I know, I actually own one, small , chubby, greedy, clever, smart. Pugs are the best cute, nice family pets, but they have health issues too!

  • Bull Mastiffs are soooo cute omg i want one!!!! they are really smart and loveable and cuddly!!! *gentle giant* heheheehhehehehehehe i want one!!!!!!!!!!! ahhh thy r sooo cute my friends had one named lola

  • Mix!!!!

  • This is ridiculous, the 19th century bulldog didn't look like that and back then they wouldn't have been abel to afford breeding such sick dogs. Consider what they are all prone to and how low their life expectency is despite modern medical care. Back in 19th century they would have been useless for breeding.

  • Its Giant pug

  • I want one so bad! They are beautiful animals.

  • my bull mastiff ate chickens ..

  • It's hooch from turner and hooch(spelling?)

  • @MsEmochick90210 no this is a bullmastiff the dog that was hooch was a douge de bordeaux :)

  • Awwwwwww!! These guys are just so wrinkly and floppy and downright CUTE!!!!

  • i heard they have the strongest bite force right? 700lbs ?????

  • I have two! LOVE THEM... Muah!

  • Comment removed

  • so damn cute im getting 1

  • <3 my dream breed!! luv them

  • He's the dog in the Film Men in Black. i guess he's all grown up

  • 1:37 WHAT THE...!!!

  • it is very good hylm/f/\E

    jhlj;hjjhj;iohhhhuhuhujhihgilguli

  • Mastiff - Extremly large dog, Bulldog - Small and fat dog = Bullmastiff...WAIT, WHAT, How did they mate !?

  • @sebzimalina it's not a cross of the current bulldog, but the original much more athletic bulldog

  • @MrPittsSox Ooooh, ok, thanks!

  • @sebzimalina Bulldogs weren't always small and fat! The old bulldog looked a lot closer to the american bulldogs of today, and were actually quite athletic (for bringing down bulls in bull baiting). It was only when bull baiting was made illegal that people bred out the traits such as agressiveness and with that, the bulldog became the breed it is today *cough unhealthy cough*

  • @brekkieMONKEY Yes, I researched it :) Thanks.

And by the way, people still breed those old bulldogs, check up the breed ''Olde English Buldogge''

  • @sebzimalina No problem. I know about those, I'd love one! (not as much as a Bullmastiff mind you!) It's shocking how people still breed the 'normal' bulldogs when they have so many health problems (the Dogs 101 video for the English Bulldog called them one of the unhealthiest breeds in the world). It's very sad.

  • @sebzimalina I have an Olde named Monty :) I have a short clip of him on my page. he's great.

  • i just got a bullmastiff

  • cross a labradoodle with a shihtzu, a shitadoodledoo

  • Cross a bullmastiff with a ShihTzu..Get BULLSHIT! :)

  • My aunt has one of these, they weren't prepared for it to get that big, and it mostly lives in the backyard and gets no attention.. All it wants is somebody to play with it, but nobody is willing because it's so big. Sad to see, it's such a beautiful dog, I wish I could take it home..

  • @Rivers1334 I wish you could too, there is nothing that pushes my buttons more then animal owners that do not pay any attention to their pets.

  • My nan had a bullmastiff crossed with a rotweiler! It was a nightmare when it was young, but calmed down about 7 years old. She was a loving friendly dog from then on and lived until she was 16! She had to be put down a few months ago as her legs gave way and she could not stand up. From what i can remember- she was as calm as any other dog and willing to please! :)

  • i'm 100% convinced that Dr. Dodman is Mr. Sheffield after he gave up on his broadway producing

  • My Godmother a Bullmastiff called Lola and she's a big softy! One of the kindest dogs you'd ever meet!

  • Dr Dodman looks extremely like Alan Rickman!

  • I want to breed a Dog that people can eat. The Bullmastiff is a good start.

  • 1:36 get yo ass out mah face!

  • @angelmanchocolate100 just like humans

  • good

  • id Pick The AKita inu over this fat droopy dog. lol

  • @DogSoldier011

my bullmastiff is not fat at all his all muscle and will put a akita inu on its back in seconds has happend before you might be thinking of a english mastiff pure bred bullmastiff look just like a big american bulldog

  • @GANGSTER759 A: their not su[osed to be lean their suposed to be heavy to take the pocher down, and hold him,the avergre weight os a BM is 130 lbs and thats not light

B: akita inu's were bred for fighting and hunting

  • @DogSoldier011

yes i know what they was made for but that was then they dont have that in them any more the breeds in a bullmastiff did fight and did hunt so he still does have a background number 2 a bullmastiff will over power your akita i have seen bullmastiffs take akitas and other breed down in seconds they bite them in their neck put them on the floor in seconds and shake and they do not let go next time you see a bullmastiff let your dog lose and tell me what happens ;)

  • @GANGSTER759 alright since you seem to share a bit of ur experinces ill share mine, Bull mastiffs are good dogs, if They have the right attitude, their big heavy low energy dogs.and "SHORT COATED" big jawels. that would be easy for the Akita to grab on to. the last dog that had a go at us. was a bullmastiff the agaront owner, thought his dog was all big and Hard, my dog at the time as an american line akita,he was 120 lbs he gripped the bm by the back of the Neck and held it until it got tired.

  • @DogSoldier011 The perfect dog huh, Akitas are listed as one of the top dogs for biting and aggression...ask your homeowners insurance about how good of a dog they are! IM ALL SET WITH THAT LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN!

  • @JoeL61885 Baskcly ur calling me a bad owner lol pull ur head out of ur suberban living ass. Dogs need to be trained ! its Irrsposibile owners that make that list not the dogs themselves. anyone knows that, even a perfect MORON !

  • @DogSoldier011 basically..... I'm calling you a bad speller.

  • @JoeL61885 basically im calling you a jackass :D

  • @JoeL61885 i do not want the lawsuit

  • @brandon2003alt then dont be an asshole :P

  • @GANGSTER759 english mastiffs will put a bull mastiff on their backs.

  • @GANGSTER759 i wouldnt say bull mastiffs are a BIG american bulldog...american bulldogs are just slightly smaller than bullmastiffs.

  • I have a pet Bullmastiff he is a real lover. He only attcks if he sees 3 things A) A cat B) A squirrel C) A robber. He hasn't gone after a robber but i know he will. HE also listens very well. For my next dog I want a Mastiff pupppy.

  • @TheCelticValhalla why r u 1000 lbs fat

  • sooo are they gentle giants or are they guard dogs??

  • @HeartButerfly when they are angry they seem harmfull and will probably bite if its necessary, but with homes it will be kind to kids and owners [teach them to like friends at a young age or by being with the friend so it knows its not harming you]

  • May be used as guard dogs Quite often .., But at the end of the day the are Big softies

Past owner of Bullmastiffs <3 Lovely breed of dog

  • then why did it kill my dog

  • @AngelmanChocolate100 every dog has the potential to be volatile around people it's all in how their raised.

  • @jmr1021 someones talking

  • @jmr1021 thank you!!!!! who ever says big dogs or pittbulls or anything along those lines are vicoious by nature. are STEWPIDDDD!!!!

  • @jmr1021 Yeah, thats why you see all these news storys about black labs and golden retrivers getting in a pack of 2 or 3 and attacking a full grown man, killing a child, etc etc etc....

  • @testy462 ive never once seen that so i think you have to lay off the acid.

  • @jmr1021 Sarcasm kinda escapes you doesn't it?

Lol, thats the entire point. You dont see stories of labs or retrivers killing full grown men or children... but you do see stories of pit bulls doing this.

Saying a pit bull is no more likely to attack than any other dog is like saying lions or bears arn't inherently agressive...they are, and so are certian dog breeds.

  • @jmr1021 This doesn't mean that every pit bull is going to attack, however they are much much much more likely to do so, even if they have never been mistreated, compared to more docile breeds.

Agressive tendancys are every bit as much a part of a breed as hair color and length, size, or any other variable. Once again, you don't see packs of black labs in the news running down full grown men and mauling them. The breed is genetically disposed to being calm (and lazy). Pitbulls are not.

  • @AngelmanChocolate100 i don't know, but for all we know, not are dogs are nice, even gentle giants as great danes can be bad, and even pitbulls can be gentle.

  • @SuperRatMan1 Yea, well, if the owner is an ass to the dog, the dog is going to be an ass to people.

  • @Gilgamesh417 true, your right because i had a cousin that own a pitbull that would kinda give you that look that he wanted to attack you, and trust me, i'm not saying pitbulls are bad or anything, but he ended up attacking a small dog, and before that, he got loosed outta the fence and animal control had to take him and my aunt had to get him from them, i'm not telling the dogs name, because it wouldn't be right to tell someone else about your dog and stuff, but there was a nice pitbull. ......

  • @Gilgamesh417 .... when i was at a park at evening, i was looking for my sister and i was alone, out of no way, a blue pitbull came from behind me and i ran fast as chicken, as so as i got to my sister and a friend, i found out that the pitbull was a real nick dog and he was the sweetest dog you can met.

  • @syd1545 the EAT!!!!!!!!

  • Makes me hungry!!!

  • looks like a giant pug

  • @Alakuanntheweirdo No a pug is a small mastiff

  • @SuperDrunkwalrus a pug isnt a mastiff you IDIOT.

  • @rctriplefresh5 *Facepalm* dammit dude your the only idiot here I said A pug is a small bull mastiff because some said a Bull mastiff looks like a big pug. If they were a mastiff wouldnt they be called a Pugmastiff Or ugly ratmastiff lol

  • What no pug in them i mean come on!

  • trying to decide between a rottweiler,doberman,bulmastif

  • @DarkNation58 LOL me too :|

  • isn't the pug kinda like a mini version of the bull mastiff?

  • @HeartButerfly the pug is referd to as the dutch mastiff :D

  • @DogSoldier011 well they all kinda look alike ;)

  • @HeartButerfly for sure with face ears,show type :p

  • @DogSoldier011 real cuties. lol

  • Spaying a female prevents uterine cancer, helps prevent pyometra (a serious infection of the uterus), and breast cancer

  • I will also add that neutering will lessen the chances of testicular cancer, prostate disease, hernias, and other potential issues.

  • Not all dogs will get fat when you fix them. I have a Bullmastiff and he is neutered. He's in great shape.... Don't overfeed your dog and exercise them. Even though they are lazy, they still need 10-20 minutes of exercise per day. Mine is definitely a gentle giant, but I wouldn't attempt to break into our house. ha

  • that looks like a big pug

  • are they similar in charachter to French Mastiff ?

  • I have a bullmastiff but it eats everything wants to go outside alot because she has lab in her and drools a hole lot but she is very protective of me and my family and is the best dog ever!!!!!

  • If i dont get one of these dogs soon, im gonna explode!

  • @TheRevolutionary465 dont get him Fixed keep him entire :~)

  • @DogSoldier011 then why do people say get em neutered

  • @TheRevolutionary465 to curve health problems and agression, whict to me is a myth. i never got a mastiff breed fixed, always entire coz then if they were fixed theyed be fat and lazy.

  • @DogSoldier011 so they didnt pee to mark their territory? nor did they get sex dives and try to escape?

  • @TheRevolutionary465 nope coz thated would be all up to the Master to mke surre the Yard is Proper suted for the K9.

  • @DogSoldier011 I've read that the bullmastiff is one of the most loving and loyal dogs. do u know of any other on par, preferably a big dog.

  • @TheRevolutionary465 well...imo i would go for a presa Canario. my sister had one my friends have them their amazing and they learn faster then the bullmastiff now im only speakin from my expersinces their great playful. but need some extra socialzion.so he/she pretty chill. i'd go for a Female presa. and look them up their cool :-)

  • @DogSoldier011 im only interested in male dogs, just my preference. and if i were to choose, i'd choose the gentlr breed bcuz i dont want them neutered. i read that they're both pretty stubborn learners though. Presa do indeed look very kool, but i get the impression that its too much too handle. is it just me or are they similar to a bullmastiff?

  • @TheRevolutionary465 you wont have to clean presa's gowels like you would with a bullmastiff. (the droppy face) no mastiff breed is gentler. only with their masters and people they know. yes they could be but i will admit bm's and pc's arnt really for first person dog owners out there, its good to keep them busy tho coz they can get board easy.

Both breeds are heavy.it's their temprment.

the presa has a wee bit more dog agression then a bm would have probably.

  • @DogSoldier011 lol i dont care, im a first time dog owner. i only got a cat. im not wating 10+ years until a dog dies to get the one i like. and i dont want 2 dogs at once. so im up to the task.

  • @TheRevolutionary465 i mean i will be a first time dog owner

  • @TheRevolutionary465 I want one too, but my parents will only allow me to get a smaller breed dog.

  • i ve got a bullmastiff it don't bark at all sweet dog with a nice chracter

  • everytime i think of a bullmastiff, i think of paul sr's late gus

  • What's the difference between a Bullmastiff and an English Mastiff?

  • @CoolHand190 English Mastiffs are bigger

  • @KaiserMazoku Nice :)

  • @ilooovejustinbieberr I'd go for the bullmastiff. They dont drool all the time, maybe when they see food, but not all the time.

  • ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun! it's pugzilla!

  • they look like huge pugs

  • there so frendly!

  • why do i think these dogs are fucking beautiful?

  • @TheRevolutionary465 Because they are :)
